Strawberry shortcake parfaits are a sweet and easy breakfast treat, made from layers of shortcake, vanilla yogurt, crunchy granola and honey.
Happy Friday everyone! Nice to have the weekend here!
I created this strawberry shortcake parfait recipe for a little project I’m working on, that I’ll write about later and what a hit these were with my family. Fresh, cool and delicious for the summer!
I have been crazy for this Farmer’s Market in Mesa lately. I walk out with bags and bags of fresh produce for pennies, it’s awesome! If anyone is in Mesa, go to that Superstition market on Greenfield and Main, I love it! I bought 2 packages of strawberries for a whopping $1! Now who can pass that up!
I assure you the whole family will love this treat. These easy strawberry shortcake parfaits are great for breakfast or just a midday snack. Hope you all enjoy!

Yummy parfaits. What a beautiful picture and beautiful women! Today my 2 children went to see WallE with the swim team. My 10 year old daughter said it was boring and a few moms said they fell asleep (But don’t tell anyone:)
My six year old son really liked it so I guess it is more for younger children. Have a great weekend!
Jenny I smiled so much because I am such a bargin shopper too. 😀 These look such beauties and so yummy!
Hi Deborah, sounds like you are enjoying your strawberries, I’ve got another package in the fridge to use up.
HI Shannon,
Hope the family enjoys! I’ll have to check out those steaks!
Thanks Zen!
Hi Kimberly, How fun, where on earth is a U-pick farm? I want one!
Yummy! I think I might have to try these with the strawberries we picked at a u-pick farm recently. I too LOVE farmer’s markets! Fun stuff!
You are all gorgeous-looking on that picture. And the strawberry yogurt parfait is just as beautiful! 🙂
Yummy treats, Jenny! These look sweet and berry-licious!
I think I’ll make them this weekend to go along with Prudy’s steaks!
🙂
These sound delicious. My in-laws brought us a huge bucket of strawberries, so I’ve been eating them like crazy lately!
Thanks My Sweet and Saucy,
Nothing like a great deal on strawberries! So nice for summer too.
Shanda,
What a cool job your husband has! Your kids probably have the coolest stuff from all the movies!
Strawberry shortcake is such a great dish to serve for the summer, go to that Superstition Market off of Greenfield and Main to get your strawberries, it will save you lots.
I am cracking up.
Kennedy’s baptism is tomorrow and I was planning on making strawberry shortcake for a summer dessert.
I probably will just buy pound cake or the little cakes, because I don’t have cute dishes. I needed cheap strawberries though. I think I am also going to make some quick no bake cookies for the chocaholics.
I want to go see Wall-E if we have time. My husband is an animator for pixar, so it’s fun to see what he does for these movies.
Great looking dessert! Can’t believe you got those strawberries for only $1!!!
Thanks Prudy! I loved that parfait from the PBO! Have a great weekend!
Hi Hallie,
I bet your kids would love to go!
Hi clumbsy cookie,
I know, what the heck was I thinking not including chocolate, peanut butter and bananas in this?!!
Hi Pasty,
So glad to have you here. Hope you’ll find some fun new ideas for your family!
Hi Sharon,
Isn’t it the best to find great produce for a good deal. I love it!
Hi Binks family,
I know, I totally wish we lived closer! My dad is a lucky man isn’t he!!
Hi Krissy,
Send me an email and I’ll go and I’ll see if I have any of those cookbooks left. It is a great book. Thanks for vising Picky Palate so often!!
Jenny, These look super scrumptious. I’m so happy for the winners of your contest, but I’m dying to have a copy of your ward cookbook. Is there even a remote chance of buying one??? They look darling and if you were the one that put them together I’m sure they’re loaded with wonderful goodies to try and make. I love your blog!! I’m embarrassed by how often I look at it. Have a great weekend. P.S. What an adorable picture of your Mom and all of you. Cute! Cute!
Krissy
Uncle John is lucky to have such a pretty wife and pretty daughters! Tell your mom Happy Birthday for me! She was always so much fun to be around at the family gatherings when we were growing up, wish we all lived close so we could get together!
These look yummy & healthy! I just picked up a pack of huge, fresh strawberries on the cheap too so I might have to try this out.
You’ve got a great looking family! 🙂

Jenny,
I was just introduced to your blog today. I really enjoyed reading the recipes you have to offer! I love to cook & am willing to try anything new (and my husband is willing to EAT anything new…. aren’t I lucky?) I can’t wait to try some of these recipes. I’m thrilled to find new ideas!
What’s the matter with you? There’s no chocolate in this recipe… Just kidding, it’s great! can’t wait to read about that project. Oh and you do have a cute mom!
Wonder if I can talk my 14 or 18 year old into going to see that movie with me?
If not, can I go with you?
Hallie 🙂
What a gorgeous family! Happy Birthday to your mom. The parfaits look great, too. My kids got really into the yogurt/granola bar/ fruit parfait after PBO 2004.
