Tuscan House Italian Grilled 10 Minute Chicken, Honey Glazed Carrots and Garlic Seasoned Green Beans
Good Thursday morning everyone. I swear my kids have an internal radar to know when I get up early to do something. Most times, including today, I’ll just sit my booty down at the computer at 6am mind you, thinking I have plenty of time to do a little work and then I’ll hear those cute little, up WAY too early, footsteps coming down the hall. They can just sense it somehow! So, today is no exception. They are both sitting on my bed staring at me, telling me they are hungry, thirsty, want to play on the computer and so forth……so I’ll have to be quick here!
I made this dinner Tuesday night before I was off to teach Pilates, knowing it would be quick and fantastic. I didn’t plan on taking pictures, but it was really beautiful and full of flavor so I thought I’d share. I always appreciate the simple things in life and this dinner is just that.
Well, we’ve got a busy day of swim lessons and basketball camp so I’m off, but have a nice and hot weekend everyone! I’ll be back soon with another incredible stuffed brownie I took to a birthday party last night.

Hi Ecuakim,
For the green beans, I drain them first then season them on the stovetop. For some reason, the end of this post did not want to let me type my instructions.
Thanks for visiting my blog! Enjoy the dinner!
I’m new to your blog and I must say, the photos are beautiful. I have a couple of questions though…
1st: Do you drain the green beans first, or do you keep the juice when you heat them up with the seasonings? (I love canned green beans, but always eat ’em plain!)
2nd: How in the heck do you EAT all this UNBELIEVABLE food and stay in such great shape?????!!!!!!!????????
I’m a pretty good cook and my favorite food is Chocolate Chip Cookies, but man, is that (and having a baby) taking a toll on my body!
So glad you enjoyed them Nikki! Thanks for posting.
My veggies came out fantastic, Thank you
looks yummy and family friendly!
My kids too have the sick sense that I am awake in the AM. I can not even make a noise and they STILL know I am awake!
Simple is always better because it’s quick, tasty and usually healthier. I love it!
Yum, what a great meal! We’ll be making it this week for sure!:) Thanks
A classic and healthy meal to feed your cute little family. Hope you’re enjoying your summer with them Jenny!
wow, great weeknight dinner idea!
I always find that the simplest dinners are the best dinners!
we eat that chicken with the dressing ALL the time, it is really hard to beat and SOOOO easy! looks great. cooked green beans are some of my favorite, and the carrots look yummy too. looks and sounds extremely easy!
Great way to get the kids to eat a healthy dinner. Who cares where the green beans came from if it tastes good. My sister loves those bird’s eye frozen ones, and I have to admit they are pretty close to fresh. Although her kids still prefer the canned, so what can you do?
Just wanted to say a general THANK YOU for all your awesome recipes and ideas. I’ve been on a big “Picky Palate” kick lately and in the last few days made the Italian chicken, butterscotch popcorn and the banana brownies are cooling on the counter. So yeah, thanks so much for being so generous with your fabulous recipes!
Derek,
I just caught on to what you were talking about. I had no idea Cullen added his little “I am so hot” line. I guess I’ll have to keep a better eye on him! Thanks for the heads up, I thought you were nuts at first!
Thanks for all the nice comments everyone! You’ll all be at a huge advantage for my next givaway. It’s geared for those who leave comments regularly, so thanks!!
Emily,
When you are having trouble with knowing when your chicken is done, I’d recommend investing in a meat thermometer. They will let you know when your chicken is cooked through. I like to pound my chicken somewhat thin so I don’t have to cook it as long, it works nicely. Best of luck. I will admit it took me a while before I felt confident about my chicken and even then, I messed it up at the National Chicken competition! Go figure!
Aggie,
I love Jersey Girl’s blog! Thanks so much for visiting, hope to see you again soon!
Just found your blog from Jersey Girl! Congrats on the E Award!!
Great blog, I’ll be visiting alot!
jenny,
how do you know when your chicken is cooked through? do you start it straight from the fridge? or let it come to room temp? i can never seem to get it right! it is either too done and dry or nice and moist and raw tasting! help!
Those carrots look so tempting Jenny. The dressing sounds lovely and simple sure does taste good! 😀
I use the Tuscan House dressing all the time. It’s a great quick marinade. Canned green beans are always in my pantry. I use them for everything including quick salads.
Your pictures of your food are really good. The pictures look so good that they make me want to eat cooked carrots and I don’t even LIKE cooked carrots.
I am new to this whole photography thing and I’m finding that food is really hard to photograph well. But I keep trying.
And hey – there’s not a thing wrong with canned green beans. They’re the only kind of green beans that my kids will eat.
looks like hacker Mr Picky Palate struck again. haha he is Hot
Yum, Jenny! What a terrific sounding dinner.
What a great dinner! I have an award for you on my blog.
I agree Deborah!
Thanks Holly and Honey B!
Sounds so delicious!
This looks really fantastic! Yummy!
Sometimes the simple meals are the best ones!!
Thanks Sharon,
Yes, those carrots are so yummy!
Patsy,
I love this new dressing, it’s 10x better than the original Zesty Italian.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog Catherine! Hope you’ll continue to find some good recipes for your family.
Thanks Bunny!
Hi Sara,
I am so envious that you have a garden, I just bought a basil plant I hope I don’t kill it!
Hi Sara,
I think you’ll love these yummy carrots!
Hi Rita,
I know, you know that I can’t go too long without talking about my chocolate!
Hi Barbara,
This dressing is so great as a marinade, I’ll have to try it on salad next.
They were sampling the Tuscan House Italian Dressing at Costco last time I was there. It really is great. Hadn’t thought to use it to marinate. Good idea!
First you give us the nice healthy recipe but then at the very end you could not resist talking chocolate, lol!
About the green beans, I just bought yesterday a strange gadget that slices them. I wonder if that works…
Anyway the plate looks great, I love a colorful plate of food!
Yumm! The carrots look delicious! I’ll definately be making those as a side dish next week.
I also love the new Tuscan House kraft dressing. I actually used it just last night to marinate my chicken in. It is so tasty. I’m excited to try your glazed carrots. My carrots will be coming up in the garden soon here! Thanks for the ideas.
this looks great!! thanks for sharing it. with busy schedules and summer here easy is just perfect!!
Your blog is amazing!!! I love it!
Thanks for sharing!
Looks like a perfect meal to me! I’ll have to pick up that dressing next time I’m grocery shopping. We love quick marinades like this one!
Everything sounds delicious, but I’m pretty eager to make the honey glazed carrots! Simplicity is sometimes the best.
