Adorable Children’s Book Giveaway! 3 Winners!

TONY’S PIZZA SAUCE
Recipe courtesy of Tony Gemignani, author of Tony and the Pizza Champions from Chronicle Books
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes with juice
2 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons salt, or 2 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
2 tablespoons sugar
1 basil leaf
1. In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, and sugar.
Mix well, and then add the basil leaf.
2. Use the sauce immediately, or store it in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
You can also freeze it for up to 2 months. Let it warm to room temperature before using.
Makes enough sauce for at least five pizzas

I really like Pie Hole Pizzeria.
As a kid we had a Godfather’s Pizza in town. I love their THICK crust combination pizza.I could only eat 1 or 2 slices. I still distinctly remember how delicious that sauce was and the black olives were just to die for. I really miss that pizza. These days I like my pizza thin with little sauce and cheese– go figure!
We love pizza! I would have to say California Pizza Kitchen and we are HUGE fans of there BBQ chicken pizza! My boys love it!
I love ALL kinds of pizza, but my favorite kind is Hawaiian, with a good, sweet tomato sauce, ham, pineapple, red peppers, and mushrooms. The mix of savory and sweet is irresistible, and the pineapple is a surprising touch for pizza. Love it!

I love pizza and to tell you the truth, my very favorite pizza was from Peter Piper Pizza – a little dive that used to be close by. Since they have closed, my favorite is California Pizza Kitchen and I haven’t tried a flavor that I don’t like. My favorite has been the club with applewood smoked bacon and avocado on it. YUMMY!!!
I have to say, that I don’t think I’ve ever met a pizza I didn’t like. I am sheltered in my pizza experience. Never been to New York or Chicago. My favorite pizza place is The PIe, here in Utah. My favorite type of pizza would be a combo pizza. I love the pepper, mushrooms, onions, olives, etc on there.
I love pizza! It’s such an easy crowd pleaser. We like Pier 49 pizza at our house.
I LOVE pizza!! My favorite is BBQ chicken pizza with alfredo sauce. I LOVE Barro’s Pizza in Chandler.
My favorite pizza is Deantonio’s in Frasier CO. Don’t expect good service but nothing beats it after snowboarding at Winter Park. You can never go wrong with Hawaiian pizza!
Our favorite pizza place in the entire world is “The Pie Pizzeria” in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is so delicious. The sauce, cheese, dough, everything is the best I’ve ever had…and I’ve had a lot.
My favorite kind of pizza (funny enough I make it) is Chicken Club. Yum!!!!! Provolone, american(white), ham, tomoatoes, chicken, bacon. Yum!!!

I really like papa john’s pizza…especially the garlic dipping sauce it comes with! (: I am kinda boring and like the supreme the best.
Our favorite pizza is called Paradise Pie from Hideaway Pizza in Tulsa Oklahoma. It is the best I’ve ever had.
We make homemade pizza once a week. I figured that I better learn to make it since it can be pricey to feed a ton of kids when they become teenagers! My favorite is spinach, tomato, sausage & mushrooms.
We love Papa Murphy’s with white sauce. There’s just something great about baking it at home. The white sauce has just the right amount of seasonings to make it extra special!!
MMMmmm…my all time favorite pizza place was down the road from my house in Germany. A place called Il Pirata! You could order any little thing your heart desired on your pizza. If they didn’t have an ingredient you wanted, they went out to the market and got it for you to put on your pizza. Fresh and yummy! Mellow Mushroom comes close, but still not as good as Il Pirata!

My favorite pizza is extra cheese from Poor Gary’s Pizza in Eveleth MN.
NYPD Pizza in Ann Arbor, hands down. Delicious New York style pizza heavy with toppings. I miss it. Favorite type of pizza is sweet sausage and black olives.
I just love pizza period. No specific place. I love a pizza with extra cheese,sausage,pepperoni and bacon.
My favorites pizza places are all campus staples – Catfish Biffs, Flying Pizza & Adriatico's.
My ultimate pizza would be: extra sauce, ham, tomatoes, green olives, green peppers, banana peppers – maybe some artichokes and spinach. Delicious! Though I've rarely met a pizza I didn't like!
I love homemade bbq chicken pizza. MMMMMMM!!! My Dad has one of those official stone pizza ovens which is a dream come true every time we visit.
My daughter loves pepperoni pizza. If she could, she would have it every night for dinner. I love pizza but my absolute favorite pizza place is on Kauai. It’s called Brick Oven pizza and it’s the best pizza ever.
So if you’re ever on Kauai for vacation you definitely should check it out.
I love the works from Papa Johns. There is something about their sauce that is a step above others I’ve tried.

The Pierogi pizza (mashed potatoes on NY style pizza dough and topped with thin sliced onions, cheddar & mozzerella cheese and a liberal sprikling of crisp bacon) from Pizza Man's Pizza in Johnstown, PA!
I know for a fact they are the best pizza because my husband and I own the place! If you are ever in town Jenny, let me know and you can stop by for a free pie
There is an amazing pizza place in Omaha, Ne called Zio’s New York Style Pizzeria. I love their chicken pesto combo with pesto and chicken of course, with red onions and mozzarella cheese..mykitchencafe@blogspot.com‘s pesto pizza with pine nuts comes very close to this pizza!-my favorite!
I love pizza with green peppers, onions, hamburger and TONS of mozzarella cheese on it! Our favorite pizza parlor is called Original Italian Pizza.
We like Frankies but usually buy Papa Murphys. Papa Murphys is yummy because it is made fresh from fresh ingredients. Frankies is yummy because they usually do funky fun kinds. From Frankies I like the chicken Barbeque and from Papa Murphy’s I like the meat delight.

My favorite is a supreme – everything! And my favorite place so far is Oregano’s. I used to eat there in Flagstaff and I still get cravings for their pizookie – warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream…yum!
I love all pizza but my favorite is Supreme Pizza, with lots of toppings. My favorite place used to be Vox Populi but it shut down, now it is Christopher’s Pizzeria.

We are huge pizza lovers at our house, every Friday night we have pizza night because it gets kind of expensive we love Little Caesars $5.00 large pepporoni. When we feel like slurging we have a local place called Playoffs that has the best spicy hawaiian pizza, pinapple, ham and jalapenos. Yum!
I love Papa Murphey’s garlic chicken. Another favorite from a restaurant in Canada was their Margretta Sun Dried Tomato Pizza.

I’m a self-admitted pizza snob! I love the American Beauty from Kaleidoscope Pizza in little ol’ Medford, Oregon. It satisfied many cravings when I was pregnant with my little girl… who LOOOOVES pizza. Hmmm, I wonder why
My favorite pizza has black olives, pepperoni, and pineapple. I really like the pizza from California Pizza Kitchen. The one with cheese, tomatoes, and basil!
I LOVE Imo’s pizza in St. Louis. You’ll never find better thin crust! Mushroom is my favorite.

My kids would eat pizza everyday if given the chance. Our favorite pizza place is close by – in our own kitchen. We usually have a make-your-own pizza night at least twice a month (sometimes more!!) and the kids get to pick their own toppings and make their own little pizza. It’s such a fun tradition and homemade always tastes better! They would LOVE the books!
This book definitely looks adorable! I love Craigo’s pizza in Rexburg. It tastes like Brick oven, only better, in my opinion. Plain pepperoni or hawaiian are my favorites.

My favorite pizza place is in my hometown of Waverly, Iowa. It’s call the O.P. (Other Place). There are about 9 of them in various parts of Iowa and Missouri. They make the BEST pizza in my opinion. My favorite is the All American with seasoned ground beef, onion and mushroom. Now that I live in Florida I find myself searching out different pizza places, sadly non of them measure up
But when I do get home, that’s the first place I want to go to!
My favorite pizza is thin crust, with either pepperoni or sausage, mushrooms and onions with both green and black olives. It’s the added salty taste of the green olives that I love! My favorite pizza place is on the Southwest side of Milwaukee County called Ann’s Italian Restaurant. I also love a Margherita pizza when I don’t feel like meat.
