Hey everyone, check out this great new cookbook up for grabs to 3 lucky Picky Palate readers by Sara Lee. I have spent the last few days flipping through the book and it is incredible! It’s a beautiful hardcover cookbook, full of great photography and health conscious recipes. Here’s some info on the book:
Sara Lee is partnering with The Heart Truth Campaign to raise awareness of heart disease among women and encourage them to make heart healthy food choices every day to take care of their bodies and their families. One of the best things a mom can do for her family is take care of herself. One of the easiest ways to take care of herself is to establish a heart healthy eating routine.
Here’s how to enter: Leave a comment and tell us all what your favorite healthy snack is. Fruit, veggi’s or whatever you can enjoy that’s healthy, let us know!

I love cottage cheese and red grapes together.
I love a few slices of ripe avacado on ry-crisp crackers. Nutrition and crunch all in one!!
I love fresh fruit, especially pineapple or cutie oranges!
I love string cheese and apples cut up without the skins. I also love a good fruit salad.
My sis-in-law told me about frozen grapes last summer and that is my new favorite healthy snack!
I love yogurt, any fresh fruit, and vegies
I LOVE strawberries and yogurt…Its so tasty and healthy too!
I love fruit, cool and crisp. Melon with a little salt sprinkled over it to bring out the sugar of the fruit.
Popsicles especially the rocket red, white and blue. I always wanted them growing up but with 7 kiddos in the family it was a luxury.
Avocados sliced with salt on it or cottage cheese is a big fav here.

I LOVE snacks! I am a huge fanatic of edamame. I also love roasted almonds. I enjoy a sweet clementine as often as I can too! you know those baby bananas? I love to take those to work too. Just a sweet, quick, healthy pick-me-up!
I really like to eat peanuts or cashews. Yum!

Just a spoonfull of natural peanut butter out of the fridge, or spread on an apple! Yummy and lots of protein to keep me satisfied!

I love fruit salads. I just mix up a bunch of fruits together and it is so yummy. My favorite is grapes, strawberries, apples, kiwi and mandarin oranges. Thanks for the giveaway!

Mine would have to be Yoplait blackberry pomegranate yogurt…YUM!
Apple slices are always good. Well, if it’s a good, crisp apple:) Add a dab of natural peanut butter for a real treat.
I love all natural fruit leathers! So yummy and sweet! I also love Sandra Lee!
Just a little bit of natural peanut butter spread on apple or pear slices.
My favorite snack is homemade granola sprinkled in a yogurt. It gives it a nice crunch and tastes so good.
My kids love to eat kiwi and bananas. Sometimes we eat celery sticks stuffed with cream cheese.
Let’s go with yogurt and nuts…especially cashews!
All summer fruit…I love the season probably most for the snacking possibilities!
Right now our favorite is homemade energy bars. Oats, honey and natural peanut butter. Throw in some diced dried apricots and slivered almonds. They are delicious!
My favorite healthy “treat” is fruit or homemade yogurt made into a frozen yogurt popsicle.
In the summer time I love to have a nice juicy fresh pineapple. I love oranges in the winter time when they are in season too!
One of my all time favorites is cut up apples, bananas, and blueberries, topped with blueberry yoplait yogurt and a little granola! Yum!
I am mostly traveling in my car during snack time, so this can be challenging. I make home made granola, and pack it a snack size bag, a travel size bag of carrots are another favorite of mine. I am a hugh fan of fruit- apples and peaches! I can leave these on the drivers’s side seat and eat them while driving home to get my kids. Ease of eating a snack is key for me. The list of snacks for the kids will have to be a different email! Hahahah..this is about my favorite things

Oh gosh there are so many, homemade microwave popcorn (no butter and easy with a brown bag!, slices apples with cinnamon or peanut butter, and homemade white bean hummus with lots of good seasonings! YUM! This book looks great!!

Homemade fruit yogurt parfait- vanilla yogurt, strawberries, blueberries, and granola. Even my kids love this treat!
My favorite healthy snack would have to be carrots with salsa or carrots with cottage cheese… Yummy!

Mine is pretty simple…apple slices with sharp cheddar cheese. (actually make that EXTRA sharp cheddar cheese). Love it!

I love fresh strawberries, pineapple and green grapes. I also love to put cheddar cheese on apples. Everyone thinks I’m weird for that one.
