Hey everyone, check out this great new cookbook up for grabs to 3 lucky Picky Palate readers by Sara Lee. I have spent the last few days flipping through the book and it is incredible! It’s a beautiful hardcover cookbook, full of great photography and health conscious recipes. Here’s some info on the book:
Sara Lee is partnering with The Heart Truth Campaign to raise awareness of heart disease among women and encourage them to make heart healthy food choices every day to take care of their bodies and their families. One of the best things a mom can do for her family is take care of herself. One of the easiest ways to take care of herself is to establish a heart healthy eating routine.
Here’s how to enter: Leave a comment and tell us all what your favorite healthy snack is. Fruit, veggi’s or whatever you can enjoy that’s healthy, let us know!

I love just plain old string cheese and a Granny Smith apple diced up – a little sweet and salty. It’s great because I can get my kids to eat it too!
I love oranges! I’m like the girl in the DayQuil commercial who is a vit C freak. Oranges give me a boost!

Fresh fruit is a great healthy snack. Strawberries, pineapple, watermelon, peaches, bananas, grapes, blueberries….just to name a few that I love.

I love fresh strawberries with nothing on them as my favorite healthy snack.
I love popcorn with brazilian soft drink called Guarana. Yum, Yum!

Hummus with Reduced Fat Triscuits with a slice of roasted red pepper on top.
I love a bowl of fresh fruit with yogurt and low-fat granola. I also like to drizzle just a little bit of honey on top (does that make it unhealthy??!)
My favorite is blueberries with vanilla yogurt and Trader Joes vanilla almond granola. Yum!!!
i love fresh strawberries cut up and mixed with strawberry carb master yogurt from kroger… a super yummy treat.
I love to make my own granola and then any fresh, seasonal fruit is wonderful!
I am currently into crasins! I love to put them in the freezer and then grab a handful whenever I am feeling a little rummbly in my tummy!

I absolutely love to sit down to a nice bowl of fat free cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes with salt and pepper…. Best snack ever!
I love carrot sticks with hummus. Or whole wheat crackers with hummus.
V8 with light string cheese or a hard-boiled egg for something quick. I also like to make different faux milkshakes (non-fat milk, ice cubes, some SF pudding mix, coffee, etc.)
I like a handful of cashews and dark chocolate chunks. Hey, it’s healthy!
I love any kind of fruit,and there is noting more satisfying than a fresh orange!
My favorite healthy snack is light popcorn. I like it because I can eat pretty much the whole bag with few calories!

Avocados and grapefruit. I love tossing them together with some lemon vinaigrette. It is so good. I better go make me some right now.
My favorite snack is fruit cut up and tossed with vanilla yogurt. It seems rich, and it tricks my mind into thinking I just ate dessert!
Awesome! I love to make a veggie tray with cauliflower, red peppers, baby carrots, cucumber, and grape tomatoes. I make hidden valley ranch dip. It’s so yummy! I’m salivating already
I love trail mix and homemade fruit leather! Mmm!

So my favorite healthy snack I would have to say is freshly popped popcorn from a popcorn popper. I love the crunchiness of it all. So good!
My favorite snack is Danon’s All Natural Vanilla yogurt mixed with fresh blueberries!
my latest favorite is dry roasted edamame. The protein in them tides me over nicely

Berries and grapes mixed with vanilla pudding and cool whip!! It’s the best!
I think I would say fresh strawberries and Celery/carrot with Lite ranch, just love Ranch.

A piece of toast with a light layer of peanut butter topped with thin slices of apple. Yummy!
Apples or celery with peanut or almond butter. YUM!!! Although I am going to try some craisins with almonds thanks to a comment.

Salsa! I don’t know if the chips count as healthy, but salsa is. I guess I could eat baked chips with salsa.

I love to slice some mini bell peppers in half, lengthwise and use them to scoop up some homemade hummus. Yum!
