I was at my favorite Whole Foods Market at the District a few weeks ago and ran into a colorful little display of Revolution Food products. I was quickly drawn to them because I’m always looking for something healthy to add to my boys lunch boxes. The more I read about the products the more I LOVED! So, I picked up the Squeezable Fruit Mashups which is a brilliant idea of pureed fruit the kids can squeeze right out of the little package. My boys absolutely loved these. They call them their fruit smoothies. You can also freeze them for a fun treat and it even keeps the lunch box cold.

Here are more of their great products, I am so excited to try them all. Here’s what they have to say about their products:

“Our organic lunchbox snacks and sandwich builders make it easy to nourish your kids with yummy balanced nutrition. We like to think of it as Lunchbox Simplicity. Simple for parents to pack, simple for kids to eat and a simple way to maintain a healthy diet at school or at home.”

I’m loving your blog while you still have time to do it. Once you’re on the next season of Food Network Star you will be too busy. The thing I always thought was cool was when my Mom packed us a hardboiled egg and make this little twist of aluminum foil filled with salt and pepper.

I am a follower:) I always brought my lunch. I hated school food. I loved the classic PB and J. Sometimes we would get Little Debbie treats, loved them as a kid. Now I can’t stand them. ha!

  3. Karen Evans

I remember LOVING when we had left over pizza from the night before that I got to bring. All my friends that had sandwiches were so jealous! My least favorite? I think that would have to be when I found slices bell peppers in there.

What a great idea! Looks much better than the PBJ I used to get! Actually, I packed my own lunch or bought it at school so this is definitely much healthier!

I am a follower of your blog and now a foodie friend! I used to love the (gasp!) unhealthy Hostess Cupcake! Yum!

  6. Sara

I always took my lunch to school and my favorite as a kid (actually it still is my fave as an adult) was pb & j. Yum!

  7. Natalie

Soup in a thermos, celery in a bag……… always healthy eats. I would love to try the new Revolution goodies: they look awesome!

  8. Ashli M

My mom packed very classic lunches: sandwiches, chips, and a cookie. But the thing I remember most was the pictures she would draw on the outside of my lunch sack every day.

  9. Stacie

I just remember that I never had chips and ho hos or cupcakes or twinkies like other kids. I had peanut butter and usually a homemade cookie. It is sad that I wanted the packaged stuff instead!

My mom used to make me pb & j and then would cut those hostess apple pies in half and put that in my lunch! Loved it but I must say that I really love the fruit mash-ups my nine month old eats them in his cereal and my kids have all tried and love them!!

I always loved when my mom packed peanut butter and jelly sandwiches cut in fun shapes. And always there was some kind of homemade goodie, usually her chocolate chip cookies. On the rare occasion when she forget to pack my lunch she would bring McDonalds to me at school. That was the best ever!

  12. Mindy

I didn’t bring my lunch to school very often. My mom usually had me eat “hot” lunch at school. I remember my teachers asking at the begining of the day how many students are eating “cold”(packed lunch from home)lunch or “hot” lunch. If I did bring a packed lunch my favorite thing would have to be the string cheese!

  13. Ramona

Momma always packed a sandwich and a small bag of chips. If she got the bags confused and gave me a sandwich with mayo, I would starve myself and not eat it.

I didn’t start eating mayo until I was a long time away from home. And then only if it’s mixed up into something else!

I am also a follower and love your recipes! My mom used to pack us tuna salad and doritos. We scooped the tuna up on the doritos instead of having it on bread. It is still a fav of mine today!

I’m already a follower of your blog! LOVE IT. My Mom didn’t pack my lunches very often so when she did it was very special. And I remember her packing a little piece of cake and a note on a napkin and I was so surprised! I love the idea of this brand. Trader Joes also has “fruit cushers” that look the same as the mashers. TJ has a carrot apple one that I’ve gotten for my son. Thanks for the chance to win!

  16. Jessica

I always loved PB&J with bbq chips. Sometimes I was lucky enough to get leftover pizza, and I’d eat it cold. We never had little lunch size brown paper bags or cool lunch boxes so my lunch was usually packed in a big grocery bag folded up as small as possible!

My mom packed the staples… peanut butter and jelly, carrots, applesauce, a cookie, and soem juice. Wish I had someone to pack my lunches for me now 🙂

  18. Larissa

I remember getting soup in my cool thermos. It was great. I also remember peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They were the best.

  19. Niki

I always got PB and raspberry seedless jam sandwiches. Always. You’d think to this day that I’d be sick of the combo, but nope!!! I still love it! Now I eat them on whole wheat sliced bread or pita bread!

  20. AMy Holly

We didn’t pack lunch often…although I wanted to be a “packer”…So I don’t remember much at all! Love your site…can’t wait to make many of your foods…especially that delicious looking Peanut Butter Cup cake…my daughter wants that for her bday cake!!!

  21. Christy

Even though it seems boring, I always looked forward to my peanut butter sandwich – no jam, no honey – just a peanut butter sandwich 🙂

  22. Kristie

We always had a sandwich. White bread, lunch meat, american cheese and mayo. I loved how it all got kind of squishy by lunch time. Weird, I know!

  23. Mellisa W.

I remember white bread, mayo and some kind of meat sandwiches in a Ziploc bag. I can still remember the smell and it still makes my stomach upset today.

  24. Molly

Morning, Jenny! My mom always packed leftovers. She’s a fabulous cook, so my friends were always jealous of my pasta dishes and other gourmet lunches. Have a great weekend!

I remember her always packing a little note on a Post-It. Of course, there were days when I thought I was too cool for a note from my mom..lol. That, and Little Debbies! You just can’t go wrong there.

  26. Romaine of www.salad-in-a-jar.com

Almost all the kids ate in the cafeteria when I was in elementary. Although I’m sure I must have taken my lunch once in awhile, I don’t remember it.

  27. Pam

Oh how I love our Whole Foods store…I’m going to show my age… :o) When I was growing up we didn’t eat lunch at school…we had so many grade schools that you could actually walk home to a mother at home with your lunch all prepared…often times left overs from dinner the night before. Junior high and Highs School we ate hot lunches at school. My how times have changed…now many families don’t even eat evening meals together…I’m really not that ancient. (wink, wink)

  28. Ashley

I remember my mom packing little notes in my lunch box. I always loved that extra touch! I can’t wait until my Kindergardener can read and I can do the same:)

  29. Jessica @ How Sweet It Is

My fave were the lunches I packed myself…peanut butter bars, cookies, chips and juice. What a balanced meal for a 7yr old 🙂

  30. Stacie

My mom used to pack me baby carrots and ranch dressing. Not sure why that sticks out the most, but I always loved it.
