The good folks at Chili’s have offered to give 1 Picky Palate Reader a $50 Gift Card to dine at one of their restaurants!! They also sent my family so we could share our dining experience of Chili’s new menu items with all of you. Here’s how our delicious night of eating went down……….
We started with a cup of their new Chicken Green Chili Soup. Let me just say, my husband and I LOVED this, so much I totally re-created it!! See my recipe HERE.
I know, so naughty, but then we tried their new Loaded Beef Nachos. Um….Incredible 
The boys ordered off of the kids menu, but picked at our food too
For our main course, we shared the new Carribean Salad, Mini Chicken and Beef Tacos and the Steakhouse Sandwich. We really enjoyed all of these plates, especially the Steakhouse Sandwich. The horseradish dipping sauce was AWESOME!
It wouldn’t have been appropriate had we not ordered dessert, so we ordered their new Brownie Sunday, which was pretty much devoured Thanks for a great dining experience Chili’s!!

Oooh, I love Chilis! I love trying new menu items, but my hubby’s the same as yours. Once he finds something he likes, he sticks with it.

I’m a REALLY picky eater, so when I find something I like somewhere I always order that same thing.

I usually order the same things.
I like to try new things! Usually. There are a few restaurants (like the local Mexican eatery) where I’ve found that trying new things isn’t rewarding. And at a couple of restaurants, I like one items so much that I have it most of the time. Like steak at Applebees! But otherwise, I like to try new things.

We don’t eat out often, so when we do, I usually wind up ordering the same things. I’m always scared to “waste” a trip out to eat if the new item turns out to be terrible.

It depends on the restaurant. Some places I know what I want and want it each time, other places I get something new every time. I’ve previously joined your google reader, so do I get a separate entry for that anyway?
Depends on the mood. Sometimes same old same old sometimes taking a big jump outside the box!
What I like to do is get something that takes a long time to make – so I get the enjoyment of someone else doing the fussy or messy stuff.

I pretty much stick to my favorites…especially at place I don’t get to go to very often. But desserts? Not that’s a place where I know I won’t be disappointed so it’s fun to switch that up a bit!!

I usually go for the same kind of thing – but will occasionally try new things. I’m just such a picky eater, that I normally just stick to the thing I know I’ll love.
On a side note – Chili’s changed their house salad as well. It went from fantastic to sub par (in my mind) The lettuce you now get is shredded, almost like coleslaw but not the dressing. It has roasted corn (which is tasty) and cucumbers (hurray!) but missing some of my previous favorite elements. They are always willing to substitute this new salad with regular lettuce for me when I ask though.
I want to order something different, but after looking at the menu for ten minutes I usually decide on one of the three things I usually order.
Totally the same thing!! My husband is more adventurous!

I love to try new things except a few restaurants where I just have to have my good old favorites. My husband eats out a lot with work so he is ALWAYS trying new things and has become quite adventurous.
I always start out with the skillet queso and finish with their chocolate lava cake. I do try out new things for my main entree. I love the new menu items and the improvements to the old ones!

I need to go to Chili’s right now. I haven’t been for awhile. After reading & looking at your photos I need to try it now! I like to order different things off the menu but will always have my favorites!
I almost always order some variation of the same thing…a salad or sandwich with grilled chicken. I’m not very adventurous.

I always stick to the same things! I know I like them. Also, I don’t want to be disappointed if I try something new and it’s not as good.
I stick to my favoorites-but then try my husbands ever changing item picks to make sure I don’t have a new favorite to stick with.

That said, in January we were homeless for two weeks (sold our previous home and waiting for our new home to be completed), and we ate at this fabulous restaurant in St. Michaels every night for two weeks! I tried everything on the menu (everything was amazing)! That was fun!!!
I usually enjoy trying new things on menus. I get bored eating the SAME thing EVERY TIME!

I love to try new things but my favorite at Chili’s is the appetizers!!! They are so awesome that I choose to sample several instead of ordering an entree!
Well…it depends where I’m at, and how often I’ve been there. I’ve been going to Chili’s since I was a kid. I’ve tried many items and I love their chicken enchilada soup. I often get the soup & salad deal (which isn’t on the menu anymore). But that new soup looks delicious. I’m going to try this soon!
It depends on my mood – sometimes I’ll try something new, but if we’ve been to the restaurant before, and I had something good, I might order it again.

I’m always too intimidated by menus that have too many things on them! I usually find something I like and stick with it! Fajita Explosion salad is my favorite at Chilis – along with their Molten Cake! Yummmm!
I generally tend to stick to the same few items at each place, but I am willing to try new things if I think it’s something I’d like!
