I would like to see 1, 2, and 3, please. Multiple Picky Palate books would be my ultimate dream come true. :D

    hanne says:

I would say 3, but with more dessert recipes than dinner, side and appetizer recipes!

    Good luck :)

Personally I’m a HUGE fan of your cookie and snack recipes (PB&J muddy mix has become a family movie night fave!) But if you have room for all three GO FOR IT!!!!

  4. 4

I like either the desserts only option or the desserts and easy meals options. Can you tell I really like desserts?!? Good luck with the cook book!

  5. 5

i like option 3, i’d love to see easy dinner ideas but wouldn’t want it to exclude other things like desserts and side dishes

I think getting some meals in with the desserts would be good, if only to remind some of us that ‘real’ food exists and we should probably be eating it one in a while. Also… lots of pictures. In a physical cookbook, when you don’t have the guidance of dozens of comments/reviews on a recipe, pictures are pretty key to picking what you want to make.

    Jenny says:

All of those are good options and I would have a hard time choosing them! So I guess 3 is the happy medium.

    Michelle says:

    Option #4
Instead of having a cookbook divided by categories how about showcasing complete meals? Main dish, side dish and desserts that go great together.

    KC says:

I’d be more likely to use a cookbook on a regular basis if it were #1. Not that I wouldn’t want it if it covered all 3, but I’m much more likely to pull down a cookbook for dessert. When I’m looking for a quick dinner, the last thing I do is pull down a cookbook due to time constraints.

    Leslie says:

I am always referring to cookbooks…
    I’d say 3.

    aimee says:

I think 3. I like your dinners and your desserts so I wouldn’t want to exclude one or the other.

    Shonneky says:

I’d like to see number 3. I love cookbooks that offer a little bit of everything so I’d love to see your cookbook have all of that! Good luck in the voting.

    Hannah P. says:

As much as I love your deserts, a cookbook with quick, family-friendly meals with be something I would buy. I bake all the time, my problem is making actually healthy meals that my whole family will eat!

  14. 14
    Jen says:

Although I don’t think adding meals is a bad idea, I’ve personally only made your desserts (and lots of them!) I’m a picky (haha) eater, and there are usually too many ingredients I won’t eat in your dinner recipes.

So – I’m thinking just desserts. Plus, it appears to me that you post way more dessert options then meal. I know at one point you mentioned trying to cut down on desserts and I’m glad to see you haven’t.

  15. 15
    Amanda says:

Include it all! I like variety :-)

  16. 16
    Christina says:

I think a mix would be good all of your food is so yummy, maybe full menus or something fun. Pair some food up and why not try to whip up a few fun drinks (family friendly) whatever you decide I am sure it will be great and can I preorder a book now? I love all your stuff good luck with this!

  17. 17

I’d say Option 3, with an emphasis on desserts and such!

  18. 18
    Chris M. says:

I would say option number 1. The best desserts, some easy some more difficult. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  19. 19
    Penelope says:

As a working mother, I would love a half and half option. The first half is quick and easy dinners for busy families on the go, the second half is dessert for when life slows down a bit and you can enjoy your time in the kitchen a bit more. Either way, I’m looking forward to it!

    Trisha says:

I would love to see 3 Desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes! I love variety!!

    jenm says:

I have to say I am a fairly new reader — just a few weeks. I like it all, quick is always best in any recipe these days.
Coming into the holiday food season….I’d say more fun desserts & apps would be most in line with recipes/tips etc. that I could actually use.

  22. 22
    Hayley says:

    I vote for #3!

  23. 23
    StacyC says:

I would say three. It would be great to have different types of recipes. Or maybe have it sectioned by themes – like holidays, or seasons?

  24. 24
    Stephanie says:

#3 – I like a little bit of everything!! It’s easy to get everyone to eat desserts…it’s the other stuff that’s difficult!! :)

  25. 25
    Sharlene says:

Number 3! A little bit of everything is always great for a cookbook because it makes it easier for menu planning!

  26. 26
    Anita Kehn says:

I’ll agree with the majority so far ~ option #3. Plenty of desserts please.

  27. 27
    Leslie says:

I would love to see a mix of everything in your cookbook. More importantly, I would want there to be a photo for every recipe.

  28. 28
    Crystal says:

#3- desserts, simple dinners and appetizers. and one random thing… i had made your layered mexican dish (has rice with pepers, corn, beans and chicken..) anyways, i had some leftovers and my husband was in need of something to take to lunch. So, I made lunch wraps with them. I put the leftovers in tortillas- heated up a pan and then put the wrapped tortillas in the pan wrap side down to help it stick together and then I wrapped them up and put them in the freezer. They are amazing! My husband takes them to work A LOT and he loves them :-)

  29. 29
    Kristen says:

Wow! Congratulations on a great opportunity – I look forward to your cookbook. I would go with #3, I like a cookbook with variety in it

  30. 30
    Regina says:

Mainly I go to cookbooks for dessert and baking recipes. It’s easy enough to just throw food in a pan and cook a dinner. Plus, photos of desserts are generally more fun to look at.

  31. 31
    Jamie says:

Jenny, since you are so creative with your desserts, my first thought is a dessert only cookbook but I like #3 as well because it gives everything. Maybe 3 different cookbooks to cover all meal options. For me, any cookbook you do will be awesome. I’m so excited for you. Good luck with the process.

    lauren says:

Anything with the words “quick and easy” is sure to end up in my house. ;)

  33. 33
    Emma says:

So weird that you posted this…I was wishing yesterday, that you had a cookbook since I print out so many of your recipes! It is so hard to pick the main thing I’d like. The two most important to me are the easy main dishes first, followed very quickly by desserts. Can’t wait till your cookbook is out!!!

  34. 34
    Suzanne says:

I like option 3. I tend to stay away from specific cookbooks…more is always better.

  35. 35
    Lisa B. says:

I would definitely say “desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes.” Although I can never get enough desserts, I sometimes struggle for simple & tasty weeknight meals. :)

  36. 36
    mrsblocko says:

my vote is for quick and easy dinners. I’m always looking for an easy healthy dinner recipe.

  37. 37
    martha says:

#3 for me please. I am a cookbook reader. Yes, I said reader. I’m not much of a cook (my hubby is thank goodness) but I buy cookbooks and read them. I LOVE reading them. The one I always end up buying is the one that has #1. lots of pictures (pictures are a very important part) and #2. a variety of recipe categories that look easy to make. (not sure why I need easy when I’m not the one that cooks them.) Okay, I know. I’m weird. lol

  38. 38
    Raejean says:

I’d vote for number 3. I prefer a well rounded cookbook.

  39. 39
    Julie says:

    #3 I think. I like a little bit of everything :)

  40. 40
    Suzy says:

#3 I’d love to see a bit of everything!!

  41. 41
    bri says:

#2.. love your bbq chicken red caramelized onion spaghetti! so quick and easy!

  42. 42
    Deanna says:

I love cookbooks with a little bit of everything like number 3 since I am a newbie at cooking. I also was just marveling to myself at your creativity of desserts like the one you posted yesterday!

  43. 43

    I vote option 3! Congratulations :)

  44. 44

MEGA YAY! That is so exciting. I think you should do all desserts – it’s what you do best. You are so creative, I think you should showcase all the brilliant recipes and ideas you’ve come up with over the years! And for all the seasons. Congrats, Jenny. Soooo happy for you :D I am going to buy a dozen copies when it comes out!

  45. 45
    Mary says:

Definitely #1. Your desserts always look so good! I’m more apt to grab a cookbook for a dessert recipe because if I’m rushing to put a meal together I don’t want to be referring to a cookbook.

You could do a lot with just desserts and break them down into difficulty, occasion, or even how much you can get little ones involved in the process.

  46. 46
    Megan says:

YAY! You have so many great recipes, it’s hard to choose just one category. Being a college student on-the-go, a cookbook of quick and easy dinners would definitely be the most useful!

  47. 47

    How exciting, Jenny!!!

I pick option 3, as it is broad enough – but I would LOVE to see some recipes (in the cookbook or here on the blog) about how to turn kid standards (like frozen chicken nuggets or something) into more fancy fair for the whole family (such as… buffalo chicken nugget tortilla wraps)? I get so bored of just microwaving the frozen stuff and presenting it as-is.

  48. 48
    Erica W says:

I love books with simple recipes, so I’m tempted to say 2, but I also love appetizers and dessert so I’m going to say choice 3 (or multiple books!).

  49. 49
    Jill says:

I’d vote option 3 but heavy on the deserts!!

  50. 50
    Georgie says:

The best of 1, 2 & 3. We have to let the world taste all your great recipes.
