Since you guys are so important to Picky Palate, I would LOVE to know what you would like to see in my future cookbook!

2. Quick and easy dinner recipes only

3. Desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes

4. other ideas/feedback?

THANK YOU so much in advance for your feedback. I am really excited about starting this cookbook journey!

Oh and as a thank you for helping me, I will be giving away 4 beautiful Better Homes and Garden Cookbooks to 4 Picky Palate readers. I’ll have random.org select 4 of you that are kind enough to leave a comment and you’ll receive this beautiful cookbook wrapped with a wooden spoon! Makes a great gift 🙂

my vote is for quick and easy dinners. I’m always looking for an easy healthy dinner recipe.

I would definitely say “desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes.” Although I can never get enough desserts, I sometimes struggle for simple & tasty weeknight meals. 🙂

So weird that you posted this…I was wishing yesterday, that you had a cookbook since I print out so many of your recipes! It is so hard to pick the main thing I’d like. The two most important to me are the easy main dishes first, followed very quickly by desserts. Can’t wait till your cookbook is out!!!

  4. Jamie

Jenny, since you are so creative with your desserts, my first thought is a dessert only cookbook but I like #3 as well because it gives everything. Maybe 3 different cookbooks to cover all meal options. For me, any cookbook you do will be awesome. I’m so excited for you. Good luck with the process.

  5. Regina

Mainly I go to cookbooks for dessert and baking recipes. It’s easy enough to just throw food in a pan and cook a dinner. Plus, photos of desserts are generally more fun to look at.

  6. Kristen

Wow! Congratulations on a great opportunity – I look forward to your cookbook. I would go with #3, I like a cookbook with variety in it

  7. Crystal

#3- desserts, simple dinners and appetizers. and one random thing… i had made your layered mexican dish (has rice with pepers, corn, beans and chicken..) anyways, i had some leftovers and my husband was in need of something to take to lunch. So, I made lunch wraps with them. I put the leftovers in tortillas- heated up a pan and then put the wrapped tortillas in the pan wrap side down to help it stick together and then I wrapped them up and put them in the freezer. They are amazing! My husband takes them to work A LOT and he loves them 🙂

I would love to see a mix of everything in your cookbook. More importantly, I would want there to be a photo for every recipe.

  9. Sharlene

Number 3! A little bit of everything is always great for a cookbook because it makes it easier for menu planning!

  10. Stephanie

#3 – I like a little bit of everything!! It’s easy to get everyone to eat desserts…it’s the other stuff that’s difficult!! 🙂

  11. StacyC

I would say three. It would be great to have different types of recipes. Or maybe have it sectioned by themes – like holidays, or seasons?

  12. jenm

I have to say I am a fairly new reader — just a few weeks. I like it all, quick is always best in any recipe these days.
Coming into the holiday food season….I’d say more fun desserts & apps would be most in line with recipes/tips etc. that I could actually use.

  13. Trisha

I would love to see 3 Desserts, simple dinners, sides and appetizer recipes! I love variety!!

  14. Penelope

As a working mother, I would love a half and half option. The first half is quick and easy dinners for busy families on the go, the second half is dessert for when life slows down a bit and you can enjoy your time in the kitchen a bit more. Either way, I’m looking forward to it!

  15. Chris M.

I would say option number 1. The best desserts, some easy some more difficult. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  16. Christina

I think a mix would be good all of your food is so yummy, maybe full menus or something fun. Pair some food up and why not try to whip up a few fun drinks (family friendly) whatever you decide I am sure it will be great and can I preorder a book now? I love all your stuff good luck with this!

  17. Jen

Although I don’t think adding meals is a bad idea, I’ve personally only made your desserts (and lots of them!) I’m a picky (haha) eater, and there are usually too many ingredients I won’t eat in your dinner recipes.

So – I’m thinking just desserts. Plus, it appears to me that you post way more dessert options then meal. I know at one point you mentioned trying to cut down on desserts and I’m glad to see you haven’t.

  18. Hannah P.

As much as I love your deserts, a cookbook with quick, family-friendly meals with be something I would buy. I bake all the time, my problem is making actually healthy meals that my whole family will eat!

  19. Shonneky

I’d like to see number 3. I love cookbooks that offer a little bit of everything so I’d love to see your cookbook have all of that! Good luck in the voting.

  20. aimee

I think 3. I like your dinners and your desserts so I wouldn’t want to exclude one or the other.

  21. KC

I’d be more likely to use a cookbook on a regular basis if it were #1. Not that I wouldn’t want it if it covered all 3, but I’m much more likely to pull down a cookbook for dessert. When I’m looking for a quick dinner, the last thing I do is pull down a cookbook due to time constraints.

  22. Michelle

    Option #4
Instead of having a cookbook divided by categories how about showcasing complete meals? Main dish, side dish and desserts that go great together.

  23. Jenny

All of those are good options and I would have a hard time choosing them! So I guess 3 is the happy medium.

  24. corinne

I think getting some meals in with the desserts would be good, if only to remind some of us that ‘real’ food exists and we should probably be eating it one in a while. Also… lots of pictures. In a physical cookbook, when you don’t have the guidance of dozens of comments/reviews on a recipe, pictures are pretty key to picking what you want to make.

  25. Lauren at KeepItSweet

i like option 3, i’d love to see easy dinner ideas but wouldn’t want it to exclude other things like desserts and side dishes

  26. Katie Waltemeyer

I like either the desserts only option or the desserts and easy meals options. Can you tell I really like desserts?!? Good luck with the cook book!

  27. Pippa

Personally I’m a HUGE fan of your cookie and snack recipes (PB&J muddy mix has become a family movie night fave!) But if you have room for all three GO FOR IT!!!!

  28. hanne

I would say 3, but with more dessert recipes than dinner, side and appetizer recipes!

    Good luck 🙂

  29. Amanda :)

I would like to see 1, 2, and 3, please. Multiple Picky Palate books would be my ultimate dream come true. 😀
