Welcome to the ORIGINAL Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe! You’ll find my recipe that was taken all over the web, but please note, this is my original recipe :) Thanks!!

I know it’s the New Year and most of us are watching what we eat, but do take a peek at this cookie my mom and I whipped up last week during my stay in AZ! We had so much fun in her kitchen cracking up at the size of these giant cookies. Not only do they look to die for but I must say they were one of the tastiest darn cookies I’ve ever eaten!

Remember these next time you need a fun new cookie to bring somewhere, they’ll be a huge hit! Enjoy!

Break out the Double Stuff Baby!!

Cream your butter and sugars :)

It was fun using an actual electric mixer at my moms. She’s an old fashion gal :)

Time for some eggs.

…and the dry ingredients.

Add your chocolate chips and now we are ready!

First things first, take a cookie scoopful of dough and place it on top of your Oreo Cookie

Now, do the same thing to the bottom side.

Can you just imagine how crazy good these are?!

Seal the baby up and place onto a cookie sheet. Thanks Mom for being a great hand model for our post! xoxo

There they are, and yes they are the size of small heads!

Time to bake :)

They’ll look a little something like this when they are done. Let cool then EAT! I used the Double Stuff variety and it was a great idea, LOVE the extra white cream center that melts ever so slightly :)

Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies 4Ingredients

  • 2 sticks softened butter
  • 3/4 Cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon pure vanilla
  • 3 1/2 Cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 10 oz bag chocolate chips
  • 1 bag Oreo Cookies, I used the double stuff :)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a stand or electric mixer cream butter and sugars until well combined. Add in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and baking soda. Slowly add to wet ingredients along with chocolate chips until just combined. Using a cookie scoop take one scoop of cookie dough and place on top of an Oreo Cookie. Take another scoop of dough and place on bottom of Oreo Cookie. Seal edges together by pressing and cupping in hand until Oreo Cookie is enclosed with dough. Place onto a parchment or silpat lined baking sheet and bake cookies 9-13 minutes or until cookies are baked to your liking. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack. Serve with a tall glass of milk, enjoy!

Makes about 2 dozen VERY LARGE Cookies :)

This might be a dumb question but does it matter if the butter is salted or unsalted? My other choc chip cookie recipes call for unsalted butter so I want to make sure which one this requires.

I’m just wondering…I made these the other day for my bf for V-Day. They were absolutely wonderful when they came out of the oven, but when they cooled they got very hard. Like, rock hard. Is there any way to get the chocolate chip cookie to maybe stay a little chewier instead of rock-y? Throwing it back in the microwave for a few seconds helped, but I was wondering if maybe there weren’t too much flour in the recipe? Just a thought, seeing if anyone else had the same issue. :)

      Hi Casey,
I’ve made these dozens of times and haven’t had them turn hard after cooling. All I can think of is maybe you are over baking them? Try taking them out a few minutes early. Are you substituting any ingredients? That makes all the difference, make sure you are using my exact recipe. Hope this helps!!

Just made these! My boyfriend has been on a low carb diet for a month and he broke it without hesitation as soon as he saw these! Oopss… (he also believes that one of them is only about 300 calories and given that we all know how large these babies are I didn’t want to crush his spirit and tell him that it is likely more). Thanks for the recipe!
