The ever so talented Matt Armendariz’s new cookbook, “On a Stick” is so much fun.  I had the pleasure of spending some time in New Orleans with Matt and some other blogging friends a few weeks ago, what a treat that was!  He is as personable and sweet as he is talented.

There’s something about eating food on a stick that just makes everything better right?  It reminds me of being at the state fair with my sister eating whatever we could get our hands on that was on a stick     Three lucky Picky Palate readers will win Matt’s new book.  Be sure to check it out on Amazon.com!

    Favorite food on a stick? I’m going to say ice cream bars. Plain vanilla with the hard chocolate coating. Or the good humor chocolate eclair bars. Yum!

    Oh My Gosh! Do I have to pick just one? I love Corn dogs. I love to make cookies on a stick (lollipop cookies), and can’t forget…deep fried pickles on a stick! Yummy! I would love this book! Putting food on a stick somehow magically allows my daughter to try new foods-so fun!

    Yay giveaways! So, this is not at all sophisticated, but my absolute favorite food to eat on a stick? Campfire-roasted s’mores. Serious yum right there. Extra points for when the chocolate marshmallow goo gets all over your hands and face.

    I love Ka-bobs. With a very picky husband and a vegetarian sister, ka-bobs are a great way to lay out bowls of lots of options and everyone can customize their dinner on a stick to be exactly what they want!

    I love the shish-kebabs because it makes dinner and entertaining so easy and yummy. I also like the Hostess snowballs that Cher served on a stick in “Mermaids”.
