Back in August I had the opportunity to visit the Nutrilite Center for Optimal Health in Buena Park, California for a health and nutrition event hosted by Amway.
I was also there with Amanda from Kevin and Amanda, Emily from Busy Mommy, and Lori from 24/7 Moms for a comprehensive health assessment to determine the best health management program for our genetic type. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous because the first thing we had to do get our blood drawn. I’m sure I turned white as a ghost, but I am happy to say that I did just fine 🙂
After we got our blood drawn, we proceeded with our blood pressure taken, and an ultrasound done on our carotid artery to monitor plaque build up. Then we moved on to a bone density test, flexibility test, physical fitness tests to determine cardio and core strength, and a body fat percentage test. For the record I have never liked the body fat test, especially since I have been a food blogger, lol! Finally we took a DNA swab that will tell us how to manage our best health and weight management.
We all did great then it was off for a quaint lunch with Kurt Warner who is the new Spokesperson for Nutrilite.
Kurt is a huge fan of the Nutrilite products and told us about his experience, and you know there was Dancing With The Stars Talk 🙂 It was fun to get to talk with him and learn about his busy family. His wife has a book coming out called One Call Away. I am looking forward to reading about her story.
I received my health analysis back from the Dr. and to no surprise to maintain my optimal health and weight, I need to reduce my carbs and exercise with higher intensity. Not so much of a surprise but I was grateful to get all the details to help me understand my genetic make up.

We do! I’ve always made sure to give my kids their vitamins since they were big enough to chew! I take them too!
yes, we all take a daily vitamin.
Yes…I take a women’s multivitamin daily, and my dog takes one too (not a women’s one, though, of course!) 🙂

No, we’re not taking daily vitamins. I was taking my Pre-Natal vitamin until I stopped breastfeeding, but that was 5 months ago, and I just haven’t started something new!

I started taking vitamins quite awhile ago and now take a multi, fish oil, and probiotic everyday! It’s been great for my hair and skin as well as my digestion!! Would love to try the Nutrilite products!

I take a multivitamin but my doctor wants me to start on a “powder” vitamin that is supposed to absorb really well. Already subscribed to the RSS feed also!
my husband and i both take vitamins! funny thing is he loves the chewy ones- guess it reminds him of gummy bears! since i was on prenatals, i sort’ve just kept up with taking a multi-vitamin every night! my son is almost 8mo and is no longer breastfeeding so he doesn’t require any vitamin supplements since the ped said he gets everything he needs through food/formula! i’m sure once he gets older, he’ll follow with our nightly vitamin routine!
I take a multi-vitamin w/ breakfast, and sometimes a Calcium if my daily intake is not high enough, or if I’ve eaten something fatty.
Already subscribed via RSS feed. It’s how I found the contest. 🙂
Only my youngest daughter takes regular vitamins. My husband and I used to earlier this year, and kind of got out of the habit.
