This Creamy Crock Pot Spaghetti is so simple and even more delicious! It’s the perfect weeknight dinner dish for your family!
Easy Spaghetti Recipe
We all have a favorite spaghetti recipe, but let me introduce you to my Creamy Crockpot Spaghetti! Making crock pot recipes is such a great way to make dinner time easy. We’re all looking for that! No boiling the noodles, just throw it all into the crock pot and dinner is done a few hours later. I added a little secret ingredient to my spaghetti….some cream cheese that makes for a creamy dreamy sauce. Be sure to try it 🙂

Here’s your line up. I actually used 3 jars of sauce so add one more to this picture….and a couple cups of chicken broth 🙂
How To Make The Best Spaghetti
For starters, brown up 1 pound of ground beef in a skillet.
I keep it simple, a little salt, pepper and garlic salt/or powder.
Now we are ready for the crock pot.
Start by pouring one jar of pasta sauce into the bottom of your crock pot.
Time for the noodles 🙂
Break them in half so they fit nicely into the crock pot.
Pour your ground beef over the noodles.
Sprinkle with some Parmesan Cheese.
Add some cubed cream cheese….my favorite part!
One more jar of pasta sauce over top.
Nice and even 🙂
Close the lid and you are good to go!

How do you keep the spaghetti noodles from clumping together?
I am doing this tonight. Minus the hamburger meat, with vodka sauce instead and fresh garlic and shallots. Yummmmmmmmm
My mom came up with something very similar when I was a kid, she called it “spaghetti lasagna” — it’s always been one of my favorite dishes. The cream cheese is definitely magic!
Any suggestions for doubling the recipe? I have a gathering of 25-30 people & wanted to try this but wasn’t sure about the cook time & the way I should arrange the doubled ingredients. I want to make sure it’s cooked just right, especially with so many hungry guests! 😉
when did u add the broth and extra jar of sauce?
Hi i loved this recipe but my noodles seemed to all stick together! any suggestions??
This recipe is meant to be thick, however you could try adding more broth.
Has anyone tried it without cream chesse? My husband doesn’t like cream chesse.
Just follow the directions on this one and it will turn out fantastic !! Keep in mind how hot your pot gets . . .
I have a long day of work today and was trying to think of a way the spaghetti I wanted to make for all my boys tonight (hubby and three sons) would stay fresh. I thought…could I make it in a crock pot?!?!? Thank you for helping me!
Absolutely Brilliant! ! !
Thanks immensely!!
Did not work! Noodles stuck together, i followed the directions to a T and it looked just like your pictures, I’m so disappointed! I uses regular spaghetti noodles too!
Hi! I’m trying your super easy recipe right now! Hope the men in the house enjoy it:). I know I already will. The only change was I used 2 cups Kraft Mozzarella ( the one with a touch of cream cheese ) as I didn’t have cream cheese on hand.
Thanks!!
Tina
This is the best spaghetti I’ve ever eaten! Normally I can’t eat very much spaghetti but I can’t stop eating this so I’m glad it makes a lot. My children are picky eaters and they gobbled this up. Yay! Thank you for this recipe. It will certainly be in our regular rotation.
Loved this – great new go-to meal. We had ground chicken on hand and beef stock, but it worked just fine. My crock pot runs hot so we were finished in two hours but still left about 20 minutes for the last addition of broth to soak in. Angel hair worked fine for us; any clumping was resolved with the last addition of broth and a couple of good stirs. Thanks! 🙂
Hello, just wanted to say, I loved this article. It was funny. Keep on posting!
This is so yummy! It has become a regular meal in my house. My husband can’t get enough of it and the kids love it too. I substitute water for the chicken broth (just a personal preference) and added some mozzarella with the Parmesan.
I was wondering how long you need to cook this and at what temperture. I’m giving it a try tomorrow night for dinner.
THANKS!
Is there any alternative besides cheese? My husband hates cheese and it is difficult to find crock pot ideas without adding in the cheese.
This is so yummy and easy! I used light cream cheese and Quorn vegetarian mince/crumbles instead of beef to lower the calories a bit and it was still so good! Though this would definitely taste even better with homemade sauce so I might try that next time.
I just made this for a second time. We loved it the first time – I did have a couple of spots where the spaghetti clumped, but overall it was fine. However, it made too much for my small family (even delicious meals get tedious when you have the leftovers every day for almost a week!) So this time I halved the recipe and used Rotelle pasta (wagon wheels) instead, as someone else mentioned. I put it in my 3 qt crock and cooked it on high for 1.5 hrs, stirred, then had it on low for 1 hr. I did stray from halving the recipe for a few things: I did 3 oz cream cheese, 3/4C broth, and I added a little extra sauce and broth at the end since we weren’t quite ready to eat yet and I kept it on “Keep Warm” for another 1/2 hr but didn’t want it to dry out.
I always appreciate the little preparation notes like this that others leave, so I thought I would help out my fellow Picky Palate readers!
Beef broth*
I am trying this today..Looks yummy! I am using turkey instead of beef and also need broth instead of chicken.I had no chicken:-( I then added a can of chopped tomatoes and basil.. I will let you know how it turns out!
Have you ever made this with ground turkey?
Hi I made your recipe this past Friday and shared it with friends. Everyone enjoyed it but I did have a little problem with the cooking time. On your instructions, it says to cook for three hours however; after about two hours, my ingredients were sticking to the pot. I thought that was odd so I stirred everything together and did a sample taste. Everything was tasty and done! Then I proceeded to add the chicken broth and the last jar of pasta sauce and let it cook for another 30 minutes. So in all your recipe actually took only about two and a half hours to make in my crockpot. Funny because I thought they all were the same! Thanks again!
I’ve been itching to try this recipe since I found it 2 days ago. It’s in the crock pot now and I’m hovering over it because it looks so good! I can’t wait to see how my family likes it. Thanks for the recipe!
I cannot wait to make this tomorrow! I have been on cloud nine looking at this recipe over and over again. My fiancee can’t have red sauced foods so I am going to share it with his family and I’m just so excited! I also plan to make the chocolate chip cookies with the oreos in the middle. Mmmmm! It’s gonna be a good friday night! Thanks!
I just made this and wow it was so good and so easy to make! I don’t think I will ever make spaghetti the traditional way again! Thanks for a wonderful and easy dish!
So glad to hear it Amanda!
It’s pretty good. It’s hard for me to get my daughter to eat dinner most of the time. She always just wants PB&J, hotdogs, and corndogs….she actually ate it with no problem, so it must be good. My son doesn’t think it’s the greatest thing. I really like it because I like the thickness of the sauce. I hate when it’s runny and I never knew how to get it to not be runny. Really love the fact that there is cream cheese in it.
Hi Jenny, I am making this creamy spaghetti for dinner tonight. It looks delicious. Hope the family enjoys it. Thank you for sharing.
I am making this creamy spaghetti tonight. It smells delicious. I hope the family likes it. Thanks for the recipe.
I was wondering what would happen if you cook it longer on low has any one tried it?
This looks so yummy! How many hours do you cook it? and on low or high?
I JUST MADE THIS AND IT TURNED OUT PERFECT! I ALSO ADDED CARROTS, CELERY, MUSHROOMS AND FRESH GARLIC MINCED UP, ONLY BECAUSE I HAPPENED TO HAVE THEM AROUND.IT WAS SO DELISH AND I HAVE SOME FOR TOMORROW AS WELL. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS RECIPE. I HAVE BARELY ANY COOKING CREATIVITY AND I LIKE WHEN PEOPLE TELL ME WHAT TO MAKE AND HOW TO MAKE IT AND IT TURNS OUT, SO THANKS AGAIN!
This is delicious! It has such a great, creamy texture. What I like most about it is that it keeps that texture even when stored in the fridge for leftovers; spaghetti cooked in water soaks up sauce during storage and gets mushy. Thanks for the recipe! I will be making this over and over.
i’d like to make this for dinner during the week but work 9-5 and don’t want to wait to eat until 10pm. any suggestions on how to best slow-cook this recipe throughout the day so i could turn on before work and it be ready by the time i come home?
Made this tonight, and it was a big mushy mess! Used regular spaghetti noodles, and only cooked for 2 hours…not sure what went wrong. Kinda bummed! Like the idea of the flavor combo, next time will nix the crock pot and use the stove to.
