My last favorite way to eat pasta is, well… plain!! I honestly have a place in my heart for plain noodles, without any toppings. I used to eat it like this ALL the time as a picky eater child… so I still love it! Whole-wheat or whole-grain pasta adds the perfect nuttiness to this method.
Another one of my favorite healthy spaghettis is simple: whole-wheat or whole-grain spaghetti with roma tomatoes, garlic, fresh basil, olive oil & parmesan (or fresh mozzarella as a treat). Yum!!! 🙂
One of my favorite healthy pastas is the miracle mac & cheese from Budget Bytes! It has half the cheese of other recipes I’ve used, and NO butter or flour. I make it with whole wheat pasta (actually I often use Barilla, love it!), fat-free milk, and reduced-fat cheese, sometimes adding broccoli, and it still turns out AWESOME and decadent! Yummmm.
