So, what is a Roasted Banana and Nutella S’mores Bruschetta?  Think…..puffed melty marshmallows, warm Nutella, Roasted sweet bananas and crushed graham crackers–it’s what I am bringing you today 🙂

My treats are for a very special occasion to celebrate one of my dearest blogging friends Aggie from Aggieskitchen.com.  She’s having a baby soon and we are just thrilled for her!  I have known Aggie ever since I first started Picky Palate but just recently met her in Orlando at a Food Blog Forum.  She is just as sweet in person as I knew she would be.

Had so much fun chatting with Aggie in Orlando earlier this year.  We have a similar family having a big gap between our last baby.  Lots to gab about and I could not be more thrilled for her.

We are keeping an Italian theme for Aggie today and I chose my fun spin on bruschetta by joining it with s’mores, Nutella, and bananas 🙂

This could not be simpler to prepare and wait until you take your first bite.  No words, lol!

Roasted Banana and Nutella S'mores Bruschetta by Picky Palate 5

Roasted Banana and Nutella S’mores Bruschetta

Ingredients

  • 20 slices French Baguette
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 4 tablespoons cubed cold butter
  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
  • 100 mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1/4 cup finely crushed graham crackers

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line baguette slices onto large baking sheet then top evenly with mini marshmallows. Bake for 10 minutes, until toasted and marshmallows puffed.
  2. Slice bananas into 1/4 inch slices and place into a shallow baking dish. Top evenly with cubed butter and sprinkle brown sugar over top. Bake for 20 minutes, until golden. Remove and let cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Spread 1 tablespoon Nutella over puffed marshmallows spreading gently. Top with slices of roasted bananas and sprinkle with crushed graham crackers. Serve immediately.

Makes 20 Servings
