Corn Dog Castle

I love having Disney California Adventure right across from Disneyland.  We hop over to this fun park each time we visit for some of our favorite rides and food.  Today I’ll be showing you one of our favorites….The Corn Dog Castle.  Calories don’t count when you are at Disney right?!  Lol!

How magical is Mickey’s Fun Wheel?  It was a cloudy day when we went, but I love the reflection on the water 🙂

Here’s the Corn Dog Castle that you will find towards the back end of the park.  Keep walking past Grizzly River Run, past Little Mermaid towards the right.  Let your nose lead you to the greasy goodness, lol!

Unlike the Corn Dog Truck at Disneyland on Main Street, you have a few more choices to choose from such as the hot link corn dog and the cheddar cheese stick!  Oh my!

Here is your counter.

Your corn diggity comes with either a bag of sliced apples or a bag of chips.

Here’s the original corn dog that can also be found in Disneyland at the Red Truck on Main Street.

The Hot-Link Corn Dog was my favorite.  A little spicy….I will go back for this bad boy!

I did not know what to think of the cheddar cheese stick…..but for the sake of the review I just had to see what it was like.  Now, I have to be honest….I am a bit of a cheese snob.  I like good cheese, so if you can get over the fact that this is a deep fried piece of Velveeta then you will be fine.  It’s  kind of like a big grilled cheese sandwich on a stick.  Not my favorite, but definitely interesting 🙂

The jumping jellyfish ride is right across from the Corn Dog Castle along with the Golden Zephyr ride.

So, have you had the Corn Dog Castle at California Adventure?  Let’s hear about it!  Did you love the cheese stick or not so much like me?  The Hot-link Corn Dog or Original?

Have a great weekend friends!!

Love Disney Corn Dogs! LOVE LOVE LOVE. Line can get long (maybe 15 min) but it’s worth it. There are more tables at this location than in Disneyland’s stand on main street. And you can sit by the lake and eat too, but stay out of the range of the fountains.

We just got back from Disneyland! We did try the hot link corn dog and thought it was great. But not as great as the peanut butter sandwich from Pooh Corner! I have been waiting to try it since you posted about it this summer. YUMMY!! Thanks for the tip!

My son loves grilled cheese sandwiches. I don’t know if he would eat cheese on a stick though.

My family was in Disneyland yesterday and today, it was packed. From the look of your pictures it does not look busy. When have you found to be the best time to go? Also my husband loved the corn dogs, one of his favorites.

The best time to go is when the kids are in school during the week. We were there 12/10-12/13/11. Saturday and Sunday were packed. No one was there on Monday and Tuesday. We had a blast. Also, went in March of 2010 for 6 days and there was no one there either. Try off times when school is in session if you can swing it. Also, buy ponchos ahead of time and go in the rain. Short lines and you stay pretty dry with ponchos. When it rains there are no lines and we were able to stay on rides and ride over and over again if there was no one in line. We had Pirates of the Carribean to ourselves. The cast members called our boat the “Love Boat” since my hubby and I were wearing buttons Celebrating our 25th anniversary.

Jenny I always say the same thing…Disneyland calories don’t count. I figure you are on the go the whole time they never have a chance to settle and make home. LOL! I thought of you and Corn Dog Castle when we were there on Tuesday but we ended up eating (for the first time) at the burger place in Tomorrowland near Nemo. If you haven’t ate there yet I do not recommend. Should’ve gone to Hungry Bear but I was trying to venture out!

Don’t you love the architecture of the columns entering Disneyland? Love those.

I have been to this place and didn’t realize the line was on the side. I just walked up to the counter to order and this guy on the side says, “Um…Excuse me…the lines over here.” Felt like an idiot. I was happy that these corndogs were like the ones at Disneyland. Will need to try the hot link one next time.
