Start with 1 Cup chocolate chips. I used semi-sweet.
How To Make Magic Shell
- Place chocolate in heat proof bowl and microwave until melted, about 60-75 seconds depending on your microwave. Stir until creamy then drizzle in vegetable oil until well combined, shiny and smooth. Drizzle over ice cream, wait about 60 seconds for sauce to harden and enjoy your homemade magic shell. Place leftover sauce in airtight container and keep room temperature for 2 days. Microwave for 30 seconds before using again.
Pour those chips into a nice heat proof bowl and microwave until melty.
They’ll look all shiny, like this 🙂
With a dry, clean spoon stir those chips until melted and smooth.
Pour in 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and stir stir stir.
You’ll get a shiny, smooth sauce that will soon become magic shell over your ice cream!
Break out a cute ice cream bowl with a nice scoop of ice cream inside.
Time to drizzle that sauce!
Get crazy, add as much or as little as you like.
Wait about 60 seconds and your sauce turns into hardened chocolate, woohoo!
