It is the ultimate treat to stay at a Disneyland Hotel! Last weekend, I had the honor of staying at the newly refurbished Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.  It is such a fantastic Disneyland Resort Hotel.  For reservations, rates and availability click HERE.

Why Stay at a Disneyland Hotel?

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa Review

While staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel will cost you a bit more than the good neighborhood hotels, there are so many magical reasons to budget for a stay at this lovely hotel.

I remember walking in to my room thinking, look at those comfy beds!  It’s light, bright and very cozy feeling.

The Views From a Disneyland Hotel

This was the morning view outside our window.  So dreamy.

All rooms are now powered with the latest technology and appointed with premium amenities—including 55-inch smart TVs, Keurig coffee makers and USB connections to charge your electronic devices.

Love the mural above the headboard that depicts a blossoming orange tree—with Chip ‘n Dale mischievously playing in the branches.  In select rooms, when you open the sleeper bed, you’ll find artwork of woodland creatures from Bambi to bid you goodnight.

Magical Turn Down Service

Turn down service is kind of my favorite.  Every night you get chocolates left on your bed.

Love the newly designed bathroom.  Spacious, new modern tile/flooring and great lighting.

Lots of room to get everyone ready in the mornings.

Soft robes available to you in the closet space.

Disney Hotels

Nice desk area, drawers and small couch opposite of the beds.

Loved the Orange Tree themed decor in the room.

The BEST Room Service Breakfast!

It was such a treat ordering room service on one of the mornings of my stay!  Had to take full advantage of the whole experience right?  Lol!

It does not get much better than a Mickey Waffle breakfast.  So fun and crazy delicious with that fruit topping!

More lovely art through the halls near the elevators.

The Most Beautiful Lobby

Disney Hotels

Ok, can we talk about the AMAZING lobby at Disney’s Grand Californian for a few minutes?!!

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa Review

Even when I’m not staying overnight at the hotel, we like to come visit this lobby when we’re at the Disney Parks.  It is such a great place to come sit, relax, enjoy the ambiance, shop, and grab a bite to eat.  You have to see it for yourself.  Really stunning.

Disney Hotels

There are dozens of places to sit with your family, an adorable kids movie area with small kid size chairs and rocking chairs, a gorgeous fireplace area with seating and even Grand piano that gets played throughout the day.

The lighting is fantastic too with the dramatic tall ceilings.

Here’s that cozy fireplace area I was mentioning above.  I could sit here all afternoon.

Hearthstone Lounge is in the back corner of the lobby with quick bites and drinks available for ordering.

I mean…..this view!!  Isn’t it so lovely?

Great Gift Shops

The lobby also has a fantastic gift shop with the latest Disney merchandise.

Disney Hotels

Outside the lobby, heading towards the Disney California Adventure entrance, you’ve got Storyteller’s Cafe which is one of our favorite spots to visit for Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast.

In between meeting the Characters, help yourself to the Farmer’s Market Buffet of all-you-care-to-enjoy home-style breakfast specialties, including made-to-order omelets, Mickey waffles, fresh baked goods and seasonal fruit.

Private Park Entrance

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa Review

One of my favorite perks about Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, is the entrance into Disney California Adventure Park.  When staying at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels you also get the Extra Magic Hour, where you get to enter one of the parks one hour before the general public.  It’s a great time to enjoy your favorite attractions with less crowds.  Disney Hotels

It’s always a pleasure staying the the beautiful Grand Californian.  Looking forward to staying again soon!

Hello nice read I had a few questions about your stay. How many days and what was the cost I am a AP member as well. And is there a bath tub? Is it basic tv I ask because I heard it was about 250 a night there if that’s the case I’d like to know exactly what I’m getting chocolates on my bed don’t cover a 250 night Bill. I have a family of 4 so AP passes a year I’m paying roughly 5k
