What You’ll Need For Fluffernutter Blondies

Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make fluffernutter blondies at home. See the recipe card located at the bottom of the post for full instructions.

  • salted butter– For most of my recipes I use salted butter. Unsalted works too.
  • white chips– Find white chips by the other chocolate chip varieties.
  • all-purpose flour– Flour is the main dry ingredient in the blondies
  • light or dark brown sugar, packed– Flour is the main dry ingredient in the blondies.
  • baking soda– Baking soda helps the cookies rise during baking.
  • kosher salt– Kosher salt is a course salt commonly used in cooking and baking. I prefer it over table salt.
  • ground cinnamon– The cinnamon sugar gets sprinkled on top of the blondies.
  • large eggs– For consistency, I use large eggs in my cooking and baking.
  • mini chocolate chips– Find mini chocolate chips near the regular chocolate chips in the baking isle.
  • marshmallow bits or marshmallow creme– Check down the baking isle for marshmallow creme.
  • creamy peanut butter– Use your favorite brand of peanut butter.

What Is A Blondie?

A blondie is a rich, sweet dessert bar that resembles a traditional brownie without cocoa powder.

What Is The Difference of a Brownie and a Blondie?

The main difference between a brownie and a blondie is that brownies use cocoa powder making them chocolate where blondies are “blonde” with no cocoa powder.

How To Serve

Serve blondies at any occasion where dessert is needed. Best if warm or room temperature.

How To Store Leftovers

Store in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Enjoy room temperature or warmed in microwave for 15 seconds.

Recipe Tips For Success

  • Use real butter and real vanilla. Makes a big difference in taste of the blondies.
  • Marshmallow Creme can be tricky to work with. I found it easiest to microwave small portions, stir and transfer to a ziplock baggie and use it like a piping bag by snipping a corner to squeeze over bars.
  • A plastic knife works great for cutting the bars. Less likely to stick to the knife. The marshmallow creme will stick a little, but wipe clean with each cut.
