What You’ll Need

Oven baked chicken tenders are nice and easy to make. Here are the ingredients you’ll need to get started. See bottom of post for full instructions in the recipe card.

  • chicken tenderloins– Find chicken tenderloins in the meat department near the chicken breasts.
  • salted butter, melted– I generally use salted butter in my recipes. Unsalted is fine too.
  • grated Parmesan Cheese, I used Kraft– Find the Kraft grated Parmesan Cheese near the pasta sauce and pasta. The Parmesan Cheese gives the tenders their good flavor along with the Ranch seasoning.
  • Ranch Dressing Seasoning Mix– This mix gives the chicken tenders their good flavor. Find the Ranch Dressing Seasoning Mix near the salad dressing. It comes in either a 4 pack in a box, or single packets.
  • dried parsley– Dried parsley can be found near the other spices and seasonings. Usually near the baking isle.

What Is Keto Chicken?

Chicken by itself is generally too lean to be considered keto, but with added fats and vegetables you can create keto chicken. I prepared my chicken with Parmesan Cheese and seasonings rather than the traditional flour and bread crumbs. While you have less “breading” than your usual chicken tenders, these Parmesan Ranch chicken tenders are full of amazing flavor, you don’t even know they’re low carb.

What Is A Keto Diet in a Nutshell?

The idea is for you to get more calories from protein and fat and less from carbohydrates. You cut back most on the carbs that are easy to digest, like sugar, soda, pastries, and white bread. When starting any new diet plan, always consult with your doctor first.

How To Make Oven Baked Chicken Tenders

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and line a large baking sheet with tin foil.
  2. Prepare Dry Coating. Place Parmesan, Ranch Dressing Seasoning Mix and 1 tablespoon of dried parsley leaves onto a large plate or shallow dish. Use a fork to mix ingredients well.

3. Dip Chicken Into Butter And Dry Coating. Use another fork to dip both sides of the chicken tender in melted butter then both sides into Parmesan mixture, making sure all sides are coated well.

How Long To Bake Chicken Tenders

4. Bake Chicken. Transfer Parmesan coated chicken tenders to foil lined baking sheet, placing 1/2 inch apart from each other. Once all chicken has been coated and placed onto baking sheet, bake for 23-35 minutes at 350 degrees F.

5. Broil Tenders For A Few Minutes. Turn on oven’s broiler and carefully watch to cook tops of chicken until browned. Each oven will be different, mine took about 3 minutes. I didn’t leave the oven, just watched through the window. Once the Parmesan browns, it goes very fast, so watch carefully. Remove tenders from oven and let cool for a couple minutes before serving. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

The golden Parmesan Cheese is so flavorful! These chicken tenders are such a treat.

Tips On Getting That Golden Crust

When you look at the chicken baked for 22-25 minutes, you are going to think, what did I do wrong? Not to worry, once you turn on the oven’s broiler, you’ll see the magic happen before your eyes. Once the broiler is on, watch carefully. You’ll see the Parmesan bubbly and then all of the sudden it turns that beautiful golden brown. Remove once you are satisfied with the color. Mine took about 2-3 minutes. Each oven will be different.

How To Serve Baked Chicken Tenders

Serve for any occasion with your favorite dipping sauces such as Ranch Dressing, mustard, ketchup, and even spicy mayonnaise. You can even use the chicken tenders to go in pasta sauce. Chicken tenders go great with mashed potatoes, or baked potatoes and delicious rolls.

How To Store Leftover Baked Chicken Tenders

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Re-heat in microwave or oven as needed. Place chicken on a heat proof bowl, covered and microwave for 45-60 seconds or until hot. You can also pop the tenders into an air fryer. Air fry at 400 degrees F. for 3-5 minutes until hot.

Freezing Instructions

Place chicken tenders into an airtight container or freezer safe bag for up to 3 months. Thaw completely before reheating. Use instructions as I explained above.

I think the instructions in your recipe need to be updated! In the narrative it says 23-25 minutes but in the instructions it says 23-35 minutes!

They were delish, however they weren’t too easy to get off the baking sheet, next time I will use non-stick foil hope it helps……thanks

Your directions say 2 tablespoons of dried parsley flakes divided, one tablespoon goes in the dredgeing, where does the other tablespoon of dried parsley go thanks

Was so excited to try these and they never browned! I even put them in the toaster oven on broil! I haven’t tasted them yet but I’m so disappointed!

So delicious and juicy!! Did everything according to recipe. I used breasts instead of tenders though and baked for 30 min. Amazing! We could cut it with a fork!

In the beginning text you say “bake for 23-35 minutes”. Later down you say “bake for 22-25 minutes”??? Which is correct, thanks. I don’t want to overbake.
