1/2cupgranulated sugar
1large egg
1teaspoonpure vanilla extract
1 1/4Cupsall-purpose flour
1/2teaspoonkosher salt
1/2teaspoonbaking soda
1/2cupchocolate chunks or chocolate chips
Instructions
This step isn't necessary, but I like to do it since it takes just a few minutes. Preheat to 300 Degrees F. for 4-5 minutes.
Place butter, sugar and brown sugar into a large mixing bowl Beat until well creamed, a good 1-2 minutes. I use an electric mixer. A stand mixer is great too.
Pour in egg and vanilla, beating until well combined.
Add flour, salt and baking soda to mixing bowl of wet ingredients. Mix until dough is formed.
Pour in the chocolate chunks and/or chocolate chips. Stir until combined.
With a small 1 tablespoon size cookie scoop, scoop cookie dough into a parchment lined air fryer basket. Note. I cut a square of parchment paper to fit my air fryer. They sell liners on Amazon if you're interested too.
Bake cookies in air fryer at 300 degrees F. for 5-6 minutes, until slightly golden on top. Remove from air fryer and let cookies sit in hot air fryer basket for another 5 minutes to set.

Notes
Soften the butter ahead of time so it's ready to use.
Each air fryer will have a slightly different cook time. Use my instructions as a guideline and test your air fryer to see how it bakes. Adjust baking time as needed.
I made small cookies in the air fryer. Keep in mind that if you are making larger cookies, add a minute or two more bake time.
Play around with mix-ins! Use crushed Oreos, different flavored chocolate chips and even chopped candy bars.
