Easy No Yeast Bread- Biscuit Style
This Easy No Yeast Bread- Biscuit Style is so simple to prepare and so yummy with butter and jam.
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil for brushing on top of dough before baking
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. and spray a 9 x 5 inch bread pan with cooking spray.
Place flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into a large mixing bowl, stir to combine. In a separate bowl, combine the buttermilk, oil, milk egg and honey. Add to dry ingredients, stirring until dough forms. Transfer dough to a parchment lined counter top and fold over itself 2 or three times. Form into a loaf then place into bread pan. Brush top with olive oil and bake for 35-40 minutes until baked through. Remove and let cool. Slice bread and serve with butter and jam if desired.
