Sharing our Easy No Yeast Bread recipe today! It’s been tricky to find yeast at the grocery stores, so here’s a delicious simple bread that has a slight biscuit texture, so perfect with butter and jam.
No Yeast Bread Recipe
With yeast being hard to find at the grocery stores, I thought it would be nice to have a biscuit style bread recipe to whip up for the family that is so delicious with butter and jam. I wouldn’t say this is a great loaf for making sandwiches, but more enjoying with jam. Fun for brunch!

Ingredients For No Yeast Bread
- all-purpose flour– All-purpose flour is the main dry ingredient in the bread recipe.
- quick oats– Find quick oats in the breakfast isles of the grocery store.
- baking soda– Baking soda helps the bread rise during baking.
- baking powder– Baking powder also helps the bread rise during baking.
- kosher salt– Kosher salt is a coarse salt commonly used in cooking and baking.
- buttermilk– No substitutions here. Use real buttermilk only. Not the powder that you mix with water.
- milk– 2% or higher milk works best.
- canola oil– Canola oil is part of the wet ingredients in the bread recipe.
- honey– Honey adds a touch of sweetness to the bread.
- egg– For consistency, use large eggs for my recipes.
