Ingredients
2tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
1cupfinely chopped white onion
1tablespoonfresh minced garlic
2poundslean ground beef
1teaspoonkosher salt
1/2teaspoonfreshly ground black pepper
1/4teaspoonLawry's garlic salt
1/4cupprepared salsa verde
1tablespoonground cumin
1tablespoonhot saucesuch as Cholula
1tablespoonfresh lime juice
Instructions
Heat oil in large pot over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic until softened, about 5 minutes. Add ground beef, salt, pepper and garlic salt. Cook and crumble until browned. Drain fat if needed.
Stir in salsa, cumin, hot sauce and lime juice. Reduce heat to simmer until ready to serve.
