Reese's Pieces Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, salted softened
  • ½ cup butter flavored shortening
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons real vanilla
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup ground quick oats (in food processor or blender)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher alt
  • 1 cup Reese's Pieces
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place butter, shortening and sugars in a bowl or stand mixer and mix until smooth and creamy. Slowly beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
  • Place flour, oats, baking soda and salt in bowl, mix slowly until dough forms. Add Reese's Pieces and chocolate chips to bowl. Stir until combined.
  • Use a medium to large cookie scoop and place cookie dough balls onto parchment lined baking sheet at least 1 inch apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes until just golden around edges. Remove and let cool on baking sheet. Add additional Reese's Pieces to top of hot cookies if desired. Gently press them into the soft cookies before they cool.
