Equipment

  • Oven
  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper
  • long serrated knife
  • air fryer
  • pastry brush
  • small mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 56 ounces/3.5 pounds Frozen Chicken Tenders
  • 24 count Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 12 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/4 cup prepared ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup garlic butter spread
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven To 350 Degrees F.
  • Remove rolls from packaging and use a long serrated knife to carefully cut the tops off of rolls so you have one top half and one bottom half.
  • Cook Chicken Tenders in an air fryer to cook my chicken tenders. Cook them at 400 degrees F. for 15 minutes, shaking half way through cooking.
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and lay bottom half of rolls in the center.
  • Layer bottom half of rolls with 9 slices of provolone cheese.
  • Place cooked chicken tenders on top of cheese layer in a single layer.
  • Slowly pour buffalo sauce over chicken tenders. Just a little on each chicken tender.
  • Slowly pour Ranch dressing over chicken tenders. Just a little on each tender.
  • Top chicken tenders with more cheese. I used 9 slices on top and bottom of rolls.
  • Carefully lay the top half of rolls on top of the cheese layer.
  • Brush Tops of Rolls With Garlic Butter. I use a garlic spread that I get in the bakery section of my grocery store. Melt it for 12 seconds in the microwave then brush it generously on the tops of the rolls.
  • Bake rolls at 350 degrees F. for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Sprinkle tops of rolls with chopped fresh cilantro if you'd like.
  • I serve the sliders with a little bowl of Ranch dressing and buffalo sauce for dipping.

Notes

Are There Substitutions For The Chicken Tenders?
You can use shredded chicken breast or even cooked crispy chicken nuggets if you'd like in place of the tenders. Chicken tenderloins are another good option for a non breaded option.
What If I Don't Like Buffalo Sauce? Is There Another Sauce That Would Work?
Try just drizzling just the Ranch dressing over the chicken tenders if you don't love buffalo sauce. You can also add barbecue sauce as a good substitute which is also delicious with the Ranch dressing. Prepared salsa is another idea in place of the buffalo sauce.
What Other Cheeses Would Work For The Sliders?
I think Swiss Cheese, mozzarella cheese, pepperjack and even cheddar cheese would work great in place of the provolone.
I Don't Like Cilantro, Is It Needed In The Recipe?
No, if you don't like cilantro, you don't have to add it to the top of the baked sliders. You can try chopped fresh parsley or just leave it out altogether :) It's mostly just a garnish.
