Oven
baking sheet
parchment paper
measuring cups
measuring spoons
cookie scoop
ice cream scoop
serrated knife
Ingredients
4large croissants
2cupsprepared cookie dough
2tablespoonspowdered sugar
1cupvanilla ice cream
4tablespoonschocolate sauce
Instructions
Carefully cut croissants in half, leaving the back still attached slightly.
Scoop two large cookie dough scoops to bottom half of the croissant.
Place top croissant over cookie dough and press to flatten dough scoops slightly.
Use small amounts of cookie dough to press on top of the croissants.
Bake cookie croissants for 10-14 minutes, until baked to your liking. The longer you bake, the more the cookie will be baked. We take them out a little early for that "gooey" factor.
Once the cookie croissants have baked, dust them with powdered sugar if you'd like. Adds a nice sweet touch.
Top each croissant with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with chocolate sauce if you'd like. This is something extra I decided to add...let's just say it's a fantastic addition. So fun, so good!

Notes
Good Croissants. Make sure to find nice soft and fresh buttery croissants. It makes a big difference.
Store Bought Cookie Dough or Homemade. The great thing about this recipe, is you can make it very quick and easy with already prepared cookie dough such as Toll House, or use your own cookie dough recipe you love.
Bake Time. Use your best judgement with the bake time. You can pull them out early around the 10 minute mark for a "gooey" factor or let them bake longer for a more firm cookie center.
