Sometimes it’s nice to whip up a batch of cookies all in one bowl, minimal clean up and cookies in the oven pronto
These buttery crisp cookies are hard to eat just one, you are warned. The edges are crisp and the center is chewy. They are somewhat flat and absolutely oozing with chocolate chunks and butterscotch chips.
Hope you enjoy friends! xoxo
Start by adding your butter and sugars to a nice large bowl.
Mix, mix, mix until nice and combined.
Add an egg and vanilla then give a good mix.
Add your dry ingredients.
Stir half way then add your chips.
Add those chips and chocolate chunks baby!!
Oh yah, give it a taste. The dough is incredible.
Ready for the oven.
Bake until nice and golden. Love!!
Stack em’ and enjoy!
Ingredients
Directions
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies
This post is in partnership with Gold Medal Flour, but opinions are my own.

Winter is wonderful for so many reasons, but one in particular I love is that I can drink hot chocolate everyday, lol! I feel like Buddy the Elf:) I have created this hot chocolate recipe that is downright irresistible. I have a few secrets that I use to make a creamy dreamy drink that will have everyone asking for the recipe.
Let’s take a look.

Please read Picky Palate Terms before using my work.
Jenny I love that you made these in one little bowl without a mixer! Sometimes I don’t make cookies b/c it can be a production with creaming ingredients, chilling dough, cleaning out the mixer, etc. These are perfect for those times when you just want cookies, pronto
Jenny, I don’t write comments very often but this Butterscotch Chocolate Chunk cookie is to die for!!! I am making them right this minute. The recipe is so easy, they come out beautifully and they taste amazing!!! I also have made your huge M & M Chocolate Chip cookies with the muffin top pan……and that was a huge mistake as I ended up eating almost all of them…they were so good!!! Just wanted to say thank you to you for sharing these wonderful recipes….so happy I found “Picky Palate”!!!
these look so good! yum!
Mmm super easy and delicious! Love this idea!
I love butterscotch and chocolate chip cookies!!! I think I love that these are a one bowl recipe even more:-)
Gorgeous!!
I love buttery cookies…especially with butterscotch.
Hope you and that sweet baby are well, you’ve both been in my prayers. xoxo
My mouth is watering! Love the easy clean-up. I have a bad reputation of using every dish in the kitchen when I’m baking and cooking. Even though my guy usually is happy to do all those dishes (especially when chocolate chip cookies are involved), somehow I think he’ll appreciate this one!
Wow–baby is here? Congratulations! Prayers for you both….and I’ll add a thanksgiving prayer for these yummy cookies, too!
Enjoy that sweet baby!
These look delish, Jenny! A great cookie for lunchboxes!
Thinking of you, Paxton and your entire family! He’ll be home before you know it! ♥
They sound and look yummy. I will definitely be trying these. Thanks
I really like the ‘one bowl’ recipes. And we never have enough cookies in the house!
Love these! Praying for you and little Paxton ♥

You had be at “one bowl”! I hate doing tons of dishes

These look delicious, really hope Paxton is getting better and home soon, thinking of you x
It seems SO good. Unfortunately, we don’t find butterscotch chips, in France. But I would like to try with them !!
You amaze me with all that is going on in your life you have time to post yummy recipes for us. Praying that Paxton will be able to come home soon. >:0)
I love no mixer cookies! Makes it so easy!
I love one bowl recipes!
I just made these! They were so easy and are delish. Thanks!
These will great for the kids working at band fundraiser this weekend. Thanks for sharing!
So you should totally do all cookie recipes for your next cookbook! You make some good ones!
YUM! I love your cover pic! These look perfect.
love everything with butterscotch!
I must give these a try, if I can not find the butterscotch chunks in the UK I will use hard fudge chunks. I may just have to make icecream sandwiches, so naughty, so nice.
ooo yum! These cookies look so good. I would love to make cookies like this without having to drag out my big mixer. (I don’t have room to keep it out) I’ll be making these soon!
[...] With all due respect for the original creator of these–please try the real recipe by all means; I just failed to follow instructions, big-time. Adapted from Picky Palette’s One Bowl Butterscotch Chocolate Chunk Cookies. [...]
