I feel like I can’t keep my days straight with Monday being a holiday and having both my boys home now that school is out! Summer came fast didn’t it? Where did that snow go I was just in last weekend!!
This is a no brainer, can’t mess up recipe and great for a quick summer treat. Use your favorite cookie dough recipe to put in the center of the brownies. I think I’ll try peanut butter cookie dough next time. Frost them with your favorite frosting or sprinkle with a little powdered sugar and enjoy. I have a feeling my summer recipes are going to be all about kid friendly and QUICK with us on the go so much, should be fun.
Have a great rest of the week, I’ll be cooking up some more easy recipes soon. I’ve got a 60 second lunch that is so tasty! Stay tuned.
1 box brownie mix 9 x 13 size
1 batch of your favorite cookie dough
Powdered sugar or frosting

What a great idea! I will definitely try this soon!
I think I might have to ask you to quit posting. Everything you make looks so wonderful, but my thighs really don’t need brownies and cookie dough!!!
The one thing I hate about easy recipes is that they don’t give me an excuse not to make them. And if they are goof-proof then I can’t say “Ick” and just let the kids eat them. Easy and diet don’t go together. But those look perfect for satisfying a chocolate craving!
you are so creative! i can’t wait to make these. i just have to tell you that i absolutely love your blog and love all your fresh ideas. i have learned so much from you. it is so fun to have new yummy things to make for my family. my hubby thanks you too! you keep me out of my cooking ruts.
please keep it up!
Thanks Lisa!
Hi Sarah,
I know, I said I had to take it easy this week with all the eating we did over last weekend and this is what I go and make!
Hi Nicole,
These are easy, but you are right, not good for the diet. Just a few bites!
Beth,
Thanks for your kind comment. I love hearing that I have helped people enjoy cooking. I hope you’ll continue to find new recipes for your family. Thanks again!
I would of never thought of such a thing. I will have to try these. Oh so yummy!
I have been wanting to try making something like this for a while – these look awesome!!
Ought-O! I have some cookie dough in the fridge and lots of brownies in the pantry. I love cookie dough. These look great. Wish I could see the inside. Does it stay a little gooey? I’ll just have to make them and see.
Yummy!
oh man, I am drooling right now! Those look fantastic.
Funny that you just posted this. I just had a similar treat from Sam’s Club this weekend (they called them Brookies — half brownie, half cookie). I bet yours were better though. Thanks for always posting great recipes! I enjoy your blog!
Those are seriously adorable. I love the way you styled them, too. I don’t think I had any chocolate today. Boo hoo!
My friend just told me about your blog tonight–I can’t wait to try some of these recipes!
Also–I’m pretty sure you’re the same Jenny Flake from Gilbert who had “Lime Chicken Tacos” published in “Simple & Delicious.” (I promise I’m not a stalker! LOL! Your name stuck out to me because I’m from Mesa/Gilbert, AZ and I knew a girl named Jenny Flake in high school.) Anyway–I just wanted to THANK YOU for that recipe! It’s a definite favorite around our house and I’ve shared it with about a million people who also love it.
Those are really cute! I love anything in “cup” form. It just makes it cuter.
I’ll probably make the Levain cookies tomorrow or Sunday.
I might just have to try these you little booger!
Hi Jenny this is a lovely idea they look so tasty. You have a great blog.
Great idea, these look delicious! How fun, your boys are in swimming lessons, my sister, brothers, and I used to take them a few years back…hope they have fun!
Jenny, You could market these, SERIOUSLY!!!
Ok, you’re killin’ me with all of your yummy treat recipes. Bathing suit season is looming, and all I want to do is make sweets!!
Wow…a combo of 2 of my favorite things, what a good idea!
Thanks Everyone, they are too easy to pass up that’s for sure!
Amanda,
That is too funny that you saw my recipe in Simple and Delicious, I’m glad you enjoy the recipe. I’ll have to make it and post it here, it’s been forever since I’ve made those tacos.
I have a bunch of people tell me that they knew a Jenny Flake in High School, it’s actually my husband’s cousin who has since married, now I have her name! Crazy! Thanks for commenting!
Okay these were so yummy
Made them for our first no school day to try, will make them next week for the boys no more school for summer bash!!! I used a basic brownie recipe because I had no mix, next week I am going to try this with peanut butter, because we LOVE peanut butter
Also I made your massive cookies, so god, used whole wheat pastry flour and they were superb!!!!!
Thanks for sharing all of your wonderful recipes.
Wowza! I just found your blog through a friend and I absolutely love it. My mouth is watering right this second!!!!
How cool is this?! You allways seem to have such good ideas!
HOLY CRAP! I am SO making those this weekend.
PS: TAG! You’re it… see my blog.
What a great idea! They look delicious, like always!
Brilliant!!
yum! what a great way to combine 2 favorites!
Hi! I’m Shannon, I’ve been reading your blog for a couple of weeks and just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy it. And… WOW do these look good!
This is double delicious and double trouble on the thighs…My son will devour this in one day…
Too funny … that is very similar to something I submitted to the Pillsbury Bake-off a couple of years ago. It got me nowhere though. As they say, there are no new ideas!
Good lord those look good. I am doing boot camp now so no yummy stuff like this. Woe is me. Haha.
Oh Jenny, I think I would really like those!! They look so good. I’ll bet they are really tasty right out of the oven!
I needed a bake sale recipe!! Thanks!!
Wow…these look great! You are so creative. Love your blog!
Love these! You are so creative. I have to try these. Thanks for your ideas. My name is Sara from My Sisters’ Cucina. I love your blog and visit often.
I have a question. I just made these and the tops pulled off of them. I thought maybe I hadn’t baked them long enough so I cooked the second batch longer. I was able to get some of them out but the same thing happened. I put plenty of spray in the cups, did I put too much? I also thought maybe I didn’t wait long enough to pull them out. They were delicious but I want to take them to a party and have them look pretty. What am I doing wrong?
Wow, these look totally decadent and delicious! I love cookie dough and I love brownies, so it’s nice not to have to choose between the two. Thanks for sharing, Jenny!
Ohh you’re genius! What a great idea! And the cookie dough doesn’t get hard and crunchy once it’s cooked??!
