Please tell me I’m not the only one that makes spaghetti one too many times for dinner! When you feel like you’re ready for a little something new, give these fun little flaky garlic toasted spaghetti cups a try. I was feeling completely un-motivated to make dinner last night so I started grabbing ingredients for my go to, easy dinner that we have oh so often….spaghetti. As I was rummaging through the freezer for the ground beef, I saw my handy Pillsbury pie crusts that I forgot I even had and thought, hmmmmmm…..
Flaky Garlic Toasted Spaghetti Cups
¼ Cup olive oil, for brushing
½ teaspoon garlic salt, Lawry’s
½ Cup diced white onion
½ Cup diced red bell pepper
1 lb lean ground beef
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic salt, Lawry’s is what I use
26 oz favorite pasta sauce, homemade or store bought
1 lb whole wheat spaghetti
12 Fresh basil leaves
Have a Great rest of the week!

They sure look pretty with that fresh basil on top.
We have spaghetti entirely too often, its the ‘better’ choice between that and frozen pizza or Hamburger Helper. I LOve that idea of the pie crust cups!!
Very cute! What a great idea, I am pretty sure my kids will love it, plus then, the garlic bread it already built in to the meal. Love it!
Wow, those look beautiful and delicious! What a creative idea. Can’t wait to try them.
This is too cute! I love this!
I have a child who doesn’t eat spaghetti…it drives me crazy (especially b/c I’m Italian!)…maybe these fun cups will change his mind!!
You’re not the only one…spaghetti is my go to meal too and the homegirlz love it. I think your pasta bowls are a fantastic idea and I am dying to try them. The bowls are so versitile for so many pasta dishes and even during the winter for thick soups or stews. High 5!
Those are adorable! I’d imagine that the cups are quite tasty once they’ve had a little sauce soak in. Great idea as usual
How cute! I love spaghetti and could eat it 3 times a week.
Thanks Prudy!
Thanks anonymous, hope you enjoy!
Hi Mary Ann,
The kids seem to love their own little individual serving, just their size!
Hi Suzanne,
Hope you’ll enjoy!
Aggie,
I can’t believe your little one won’t eat spaghetti?! My boys would be in big trouble!
Hi Katherine,
Glad to hear you cook spaghetti often too! These would be great with a thick hearty soup too!
Hi Sharon,
You are right, the sauce softens the crusts just enough that makes them really good!
Just missed you Lisa,
Thanks!
Those are so cute. I can’t remember the last time that I simply made spaghetti for dinner. I just don’t think that simple (unfortunately!). I love it though… so perhaps I’m due to whip it up for dinner. My family would love me for not attempting some new sort of gourmet thing!!
Very creative…and I love fresh basil, nice touch!
Those are so cute and a fun variation! The basil looks delicious, too.
What a good idea! Was it messier to eat than regular spaghetti?
Hi Lori,
No spaghetti for you huh? I gotta keep it real sometime!
Thanks Maria!
Thanks Anne,
I love the little basil leaves. My basil plant is the only plant that I haven’t killed!
Hi Kimberly,
Either way my boys have it all over the place. I’d say it’s equally as messy.
Pasta is my go to for a quick dinner too! I started food blogging because of the boredom with my meals.
Ooh, how cute. I have some garlic crescent rolls that might work really well, too. I will totally try it.
Those look soo good! Awesome idea!
I love this idea! I bet your kids ate them right up!
That is such a cool way to eat spaghetti! I never would have thought of that. I bet your boys just ate those right up.
Oh my gosh! How cute! I am so going to make these for my niece and nephew this weekend. And, since I’m babysitting and need to provide entertainment, maybe I’ll teach them how to make their own crust and we’ll do it that way. Really fun!
These would be so cool for a party! Great way to eat a messy food without getting dishes dirty!
Hubby says I cook spaghetti far too often – but I love it and its super quick and easy! These pie crusts are a fab idea – he loves pastry so Im on to a winner with these
That’s pretty cute! Like little spaghetti boats
Yowza wowza, those are out of this world!
Jenny, you are so flippin’ creative! I’m so envious of your ability to just go to the cupboard and whip up something original, adorable, and yummy looking. Well done, as per usual!
Oh, those look so good!
A must try when I get back from my trip!
We too usually have it once a week. Luckily my kids love it. I will try this though, it looks so yummy. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Those are so cute! What a fun presentation.
AWESOME idea!! I don’t know how you think of things but, I sure am glad you do! Thanks for dinner tonight!! Love it!
Do you not just love it when you come up with a fantastic idea in the kitchen Jenny? This is a corker! I bet they taste great, there is something just so yummy about eating pastry cases filled with something nice to eat.
I love this post so much.
Wow, that is a great idea!! I can’t wait to try it.
This is such a cute idea! I have a hard time believing that dinner at your house is ever boring, what with all the great things you post, but it definitely gets that way around here from time to time!
These are just so darned CUTE! Being of Italian heritage-spaghetti sauce runs through my veins instead of blood I think! I’ll definitely be trying these-I know my hubby will LOVE them….and if the bugs haven’t gotten all the basil…:(….what a great way to use it!
Geesh-I wish I could be this creative when I’m unmotivated!!!
Thanks Jenny!!!
This has got to be one of the best food ideas I’ve seen in a while! It’s definitely going on the must-try list! I’ve got puff pastry in my freezer, I wonder if that would be overboard…
This is such a cute idea and way to eat spaghetti! Where do you come up with this stuff? I hope you don't mind but I posted your blog link and recipe for the Oreo Chocolate Chip cookies on my blog…I've made them twice now and I just had to share it with my family & friends! My dad loved them!
What a neat little idea!
they look amazing..
Those little cups make spaghetti look like so much fun!
What a creative and yummy looking recipe!
I love the ‘what do I got in here?’ inspiration! They are so cute! I am a sucker for a}anything wrapped or set in pasty and b}anything cute and individual -so this is right up my alley!
Jenny what a cute idea! My nieces and nephews would love this! Snazzy!
Incredible! I have to share this with my mom as she is one to make spaghetti every other day it seems.
I may have to borrow this idea… there are so many things that might seem like new recipes just by putting them in cute little cups!
What a fun twist on a staple dinner item! Great job!
That looks yummy!! I can’t wait to try it!
What a sweet idea. Can you ever have too much pasta? Really?
Those are too cute. Kudos on being featured on FFF.
That is sooo ingenious! Well done Jenny!
