Sharing our experience at Suf’s Up Breakfast with Mickey and Friends located in Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel.

Surf’s Up Breakfast with Mickey and Friends…Earlier this year my husband and I took off for a weekend to Disneyland Resort for a little “kid free” getaway. I’m a total Disney nut, so I have no shame visiting the parks without our children from time to time. We enjoyed our stay at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and decided to try PCH Grill, Surf’s Up Breakfast with Mickey & Friends. I have been to all of the Character Dining locations around the Resort so let’s get started with the review.
I’ll start by saying we really enjoyed this breakfast experience, however if I’m comparing it to the others around the resort–Goofy’s Kitchen, Disneyland Resort, Storyteller’s Cafe, Chip n’ Dale Critter Breakfast, Plaza Inn’s Minnie & Friends Breakfast, Disneyland Park and Ariel’s Grotto, Ariel’s Disney Princess Celebration, Disney California Adventure, Paradise Pier…Surf’s Up Breakfast with Mickey & Friend’s would be my last choice. That sounds harsh, but just want to put things in perspective if you are planning to spend the money on a Character Dining experience.
When you walk up to the restaurant, you check in at this desk area and wait to be called in. You need to make reservations in advance for all of the Character Dining experiences. They are very popular especially if you are going on weekends and busy times of the year.
Buttery croissants ready and waiting at the buffet table.
These little cinnamon rolls are too cute and so tempting too!
A number of buffet lines to choose from with all kinds of different foods. The omelet bar is my favorite. Gear up to eat a LOT of food. We plan on making this kind of meal last for most of the day.
Another shot of the buffet line.
We were fans of the breakfast potatoes.
Mickey pancakes are my favorite!!!
We also really enjoyed the French Toast.
Hey Minnie!! The Characters come right up to your table for plenty of picture opportunities. Since it was just my husband and I, we thought just Minnie was sufficient, lol!
To review, we really enjoyed our breakfast experience at Surf’s Up, however Goofy’s Kitchen, Disneyland Hotel and Plaza Inn’s Minnie & Friends Breakfast are my favorites for the money. If you are a family of little girls go for Ariel’s Grotto, princesses galore. Hope this helps plan your next Character Dining Experience!
