I LOVE when last minute recipe ideas work out to be so delicious! Shortly before we sat down to watch SYTYCD tonight, I decided we needed cookies to watch with the show. I took two of my favorite cookie dough recipes not to mention one of my favorite flavor combinations and stuck them side by side on a baking sheet. The outcome= pure awesomeness! Talk about simplicity at it’s finest. The peanut butter cookie portion consists of only three ingredients, so it really doesn’t take that much more time to get these babies in the oven.
If you are a chocolate/peanut butter freak like myself, do not delay make yourself a nice batch today!! Definitely one of my favorite cookies right now, can’t wait to dig into these tomorrow. Ok, it’s after midnight, and my husband is freaking me out with his sleep talking. Goodnight!!
Peanut Butter Cookie
1 Cup creamy peanut butter
1 Cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until well combined. Set aside.
Chocolate Chip Cookie
2 sticks softened butter (1 Cup)
1 Cup granulated sugar
3/4 Cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 Cups flour
1 1/4 Cups cocoa powder (I used Hersheys)
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Cup chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream the butter and sugars until well combined. Slowly beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined. Place flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt into a large bowl; mix with fork or sift. Add to wet ingredients along with chocolate chips until just combined.
2. Take a Tablespoon of Peanut Butter Cookie Dough and a Tablespoon of Chocolate Cookie Dough and gently press together forming a “not so perfect” ball. Don’t press and roll too much, just stick them together and place onto a silpat or parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until cookies are cooked through to your liking. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Enjoy!

OMG! made these last night for our guests. uuummmmmm! was the first thing out of eveeyones mouth….best cookie ever! thank you so much for the recipe
I made these this weekend for Operation Baking Gals (cookies for the troops). http://www.bakinggals.com I also am sending a batch of your chocolate, white and butterscotch chip cookies. Thanks for the great recipes so I could shake things up a little for a few guys in Iraq!
One question. Is it just me, or is there way more chocolate dough than PB? My cookies were a 1PB:2chocolate ratio and I still ended up with 2 dozen plain chocolate cookies. Nat that that was a problem.
I made these… and loved them… and probably ate WAY to many… Infact… maybe I'll go have another! (Bad Camille!)
Okay, I made these last night and I cant stop eating them. So good!!!
I think I’m making these for a BBQ we have tonight!
I made these for my neice’s birthday party yesterday they were amazing! Thanks for the recipe!
These look fun AND delicious! Great idea!
Attention all peanut butter lovers! Dove Chocolate has found a new friend- creamy Peanut butter, and it is a match made in heaven! What are your thoughts on them?
Oh man, chocolate and peanut butter is one of my all time favourite combos. SO good. I’ll be making these, for sure!
My husband loved these cookies! We are huge peanut butter people and I am making these cookies for a family party on Sunday and I think I will double the peanut butter dough. They are so good!
I just made these, and wow!! Seriously good. And so rich. Really, eat two. Not three. Three will make you ill. But two is just right.
I made a few changes. I halved the chocolate recipe because I only had two eggs to work with, but it was plenty – I think the full recipe makes too much. I also improvised and added a mix of dark, milk, bittersweet, white, chunks & chips.. whatever I had around. You could also add roasted peanuts to the peanut side, if you’re already overkilling it, may as well go totally crazy – haha.
Again, SOOO good.. but do yourself a favor and stop at two. :O)
I have found your blog and I am in heaven. I too am a chocolate/peanut butter lover. I have to try these.
I love your blog and love your photos too!
