    Krista says:

Sugar cookies! No, bread! No, wait! Ummm– meringue! No–my great-grandmother’s seven-minute icing! No…actually, it would be my Latvian Grandma’s ‘pipparkukas’, like German pfefferkuchen, like American gingerbread cookies but spicier and richer and with a snap of flavor and texture what comes from a super-stiff dough that you age for a month. Ohhhh yeah baby. Man garsho pipparkuukas!

I will definitely make a Japanese-style cheesecake! The recipe requires beating egg whites to form high peaks, so this would save my arm from going numb as it usually does from holding a hand mixer for too long! :P
