Caramel Eggnog Syrup

Tags: ,

Breakfast and Brunch

As promised here is the recipe for my Caramel Eggnog Syrup that goes with my Chocolate Eggnog Baby Pancakes.  This one is not to be missed.  It is good beyond measure.  Perfect for the Holidays and good enough to drink with a straw, this will bring smiles to the whole family.

Enjoy friends!

Here are your ingredients.  Nice and simple.  That’s sugar in the measuring cup.

Pour your eggnog into a saucepan over medium heat.

Add the sugar and butter to the saucepan as well.

Cook and stir until mixture bubbles like this :)

Once bubbly, add baking soda and vanilla stirring.  Syrup will foam up a bit.  Don’t freak out, lol!

Let syrup cool for about 5 minutes and it will thicken and reduce back down.

Here you have my Caramel Eggnog Syrup.  Make it….you won’t be sorry.

Hello, this looks fab. Im hoping I can get eggnog in the UK supermarkets to make this. Once made, how long will it last for, unopened and opened?? Im thinking this would be nice in coffee too. :-)

Okay, so I was looking at the carton of eggnog a couple of days ago and wondering if I could make a caramel buttermilk syrup, but out of eggnog. Ponder no more! It can be done! And I think maybe it NEEDS to be done, stat. :)
