Thrilled to share my experience at the Disney California Food and Wine Festival 2016 review.
I made a last minute trip to the parks over the weekend to eat my way through the Food and Wine Festival at California Adventure. This was one of the most delicious days ever!!! Let’s get started through my day!
First up was the LA Style Marketplace where they offered Chilled Ahi Poke, Pork Belly Bao Taco and Milk Chocolate Caramel Tart. This was one of my favorites for sure!
I sampled the Pork Belly Bao Taco. This was perfection. So flavorful with a delicious piece of pork belly.
Yah, the Milk Chocolate Caramel Tart was pretty amazing. The salt was the perfect touch to balance the sweet!
Up next are The Vineyard and Wine Country Marketplaces. They serve wines plus Zinfandel-Braised Wagyu Beef, Roasted Yellow Beet Salad and a Blackberry Gallette.
The Blackberry Gallette was beautiful! I enjoyed the berries and gallette crust but the Rosemary was a little strong for my liking. I just removed it and enjoyed the rest. Really pretty!
The sun was so bright when I ordered this Wagyu Beef plate. It was one of my favorite savory dishes of the day. Flavorful shredded beef over perfectly seasoned polenta and peas. Worth ordering for sure.
The iViva Fresca Marketplace offered Fried Shrimp Soft Tacos, Anaheim Chile and Roasted Cauliflower Burritos, Strawberry Mango Agua Fresca and Tecate Michelada.
We sampled the Strawberry Mango Agua Fresca, it was very refreshing and you could tell it was freshly juiced. The mango came through stronger than the watermelon and strawberry, but still really enjoyed this.
I also sampled the Fried Shrimp Soft Taco. I enjoyed this one too. The fried shrimp pieces were delicious, loved the pickled onions.
The Gold Rush Marketplace offered Triple Cheese Mac with Smoked Chicken, Artichoke Chips with Spicy Aioli and the Apple Bacon Whoopie Pie.
The Triple Cheese Mac with Smoked Chicken was another of my favorite savory dishes of the day. Perfectly cheesy and the smoked chicken was on point!!
The Apple Bacon Whoopie Pie was so interesting. I enjoyed it for sure, the bacon and apple totally worked together!
The Farm offered Vegetable Thai Curry over Jasmine Rice, Tenderloin Slider with Smoked BBQ Sauce and Bleu Cheese and a Meyer Lemon Macaron with Blueberry Dust.
We sampled the Vegetable Thai Curry over Jasmine Rice, it was lovely!! The curry wasn’t overpowering and I enjoyed the veggies.
We agreed that the bites with little pieces of mint were our favorite.
The Tenderloin Slider with Smoked BBQ Sauce and Bleu Cheese was really amazing. So many flavors happening and the tenderloin was so perfectly tender. This is a must order!
Ok, this Meyer Lemon Macaron with Blueberry Dust was out of control delicious. One of my favorites. Wait for it….
The magic happened when you took your first bite to find out there’s a fantastic blueberry center. Total win!!
By The Bay offered White Cheddar Ale Soup with Bacon in a Boudin Sourdough Mini-Boule, Chilled Shrimp and Snow Crab Cocktail and Coconut Tapioca Flight with Fresh Mango.
I only sampled the White Cheddar Ale Soup with Bacon in a Boudin Sourdough Mini-Boule at this Marketplace and WOW. One of the best soups I’ve ever had. This is a must order.
Since I don’t drink alcohol I skipped The Brewhouse Marketplace. They offer a variety of craft beers.
I loved every minute of my Food and Wine Festival adventures over the weekend. Can’t wait to head to Epcot Center later this year to eat my way through their Festival! Until next time friends! For a full menu of the Disney California Food and Wine Festival check out the Disney Parks Blog HERE.

What an amazing array of food. Is it wrong I would have just wanted to go around trying all the desserts??? The bacon whoopie pie has my mouth watering.
What a collection of amazing samplings. I have to go to this next year. 😛
