Tiki Juice Bar by Dole

Disneyland’s Tiki Juice Bar….or just “The Dole Whip Place” as we call it, is one of those special treats in the park that you will wait in a mile long line with a smile on your face because you know it will be worth it!  Crazy I know.

The Tiki Juice Bar is located right inside of Adventureland next to the Tiki Room, which is where you can watch a fun musical show that the little ones LOVE.  My 6 and 9 year old are a bit over it, but the little ones get a kick out of the singing and dancing birds 🙂

What you’ll find is this outside little hut that serves 2 lines.  The most obvious line is usually the really long one that trickles down towards the Jungle Cruise.  If you walk into the Tiki Room area, you will find  a sneaky 2nd line that is generally much shorter…..so go to that line.

You’ll find just a few items available, but all fresh and pineapple-y delicious 🙂

Here’s my cute husband FINALLY up to the front of the (2nd) line around the back by the Tiki Room.  This trip was mid September about 3:15pm.  We were in line for about 35 minutes, just to give you an idea.

Up first is the ever so popular Dole Whip Float.  Not only do you get the pineapple soft serve on top, but you get pineapple juice on the bottom.  A very popular choice.  This one does not disappoint.

Here is the Pineapple Dole Whip Soft Serve.  You can see they give you a big serving.  This soft serve is hard to explain, it’s so light and almost airy with a soft pineapple flavor.  People wait in line all day to have this baby!

Call me boring, but this is what I order…..the straight up Dole Pineapple Juice.  It is so refreshing and ice cold.  I am a fan, but my family thought I was crazy, lol.

We made it out of line just in time to watch Mickey’s Souondsational Parade.  I don’t care how old I am, I still LOVE these darn parades!  So fun and festive.

The entire parade, I kept telling my husband, ooooo I want that girl’s outfit for Halloween!

Then I saw her dress and quickly changed my mind to this one 🙂

Then of course to this beautiful princess one.  Lol!

The little girls sitting around us were so cute to watch when the princesses passed by.

I seriously love Belle’s dress.  Gorgeous.

These guys definitely got into character 🙂

Love it!

The Merry Poppins Chimney Sweepers!

Hope you’ve enjoyed our review to the Dole Juice Bar and a peek at Mickey’s Soundsational Parade.

So, what is your favorite Dole treat and how long have you’ve waited in line for it? Lol!

Love the pineapple whip! You’re so right about the line on the Tiki Room side to be generally shorter.

Ahh, Magic Dole Whip! I am new to your blog, but when I saw the Disney dining suggestions, I had to see if you mentioned the Magic Dole place!

I’m so, so sad – I’m on a medicine that has ruined the Magic Dole Whip for me…I’ll have to try just the pineapple juice like you next time because it put a damper on my whole Disney Day after looking forward to MDW and then…well…not being able to eat more than a bite 🙁

Love that you’re doing suggestions…can’t believe you didn’t mention the Monte Cristo sandwiches at Blue Bayou yet! Those are a Disney specialty!

Thank you so much for the tip about the second line inside the Tiki room. We were there on Saturday, and the line for the Dole Tiki Juice Bar was almost to the Jungle Cruise (I estimate 60+ minute wait). I walked past all of those poor people in the line and went inside the waiting area for the Tiki Room where there was not a single person in line at the back counter!! We sat and enjoyed our whips and floats on the benches of the Tiki Room waiting area. Later that day, when we did go to watch the Tiki Room, at the insistence of my 8 year old who has never seen it, the Cast Member actually encouraged you to eat and drink “especially our Dole Whip Items” while watching the show. Next time we will do that (kill 2 birds with one stone).

Thanks for the tip! Our feet thank you!

Heather, it was so fun seeing you guys there Saturday! So glad you jumped right in that secret little line by the Tiki Room! Hope to see you again soon 🙂

I’ve been to Disneyland so many times and I still have never had a dole whip! It looks so YUMMY!

Jenny, you are really making me feel the need to get back to D-Land ASAP with these posts! In general I’m not a fan of Disney food, but the Dole station? Yes Please!

Love that place!! Just had a float on Monday and waited about 40 mins in line, the 2nd one, for it! I too love Disneyland! Passes were a requirement when my husband asked if I would like to go to SoCal as a duty station for the Army! We go at least once a week!!

MMMMMM Dole Whips are FABULOUS! I’ve never tried the float, but will have to do so next time. Thanks for sharing! I’ve yet to see the new parade and it was fun to get a sneak peek!

Brooke, the float was my family’s favorite for sure 🙂 Hope you get to try one soon…..and the parade, so sweet!

The Dole Pineapple Soft Serve is so unbelievably delicious and you are right the line at the Tiki Bar is well worth it. It is refreshing and the perfect little treat!

P.S. – I hope the amazing corn dogs will be on your list soon. I’m not a huge corn dog or hot dog fan but Disneyland changed me! Ha!

YAY!!! Can’t wait! I know you will do it up well. That is my husband’s main motivation for going to Disneyland.

  9. Amy

This is seriously one of my favorite treats in Disney World. Last visit I enjoyed it twice, once really late at night with fireworks going off around me. I don’t think my family understands my obsession! The pineapple soft serve is my favorite but you now have me considering the float as it is the best of both worlds.

I love your blog and have enjoyed making many of your dessert recipes with a friend. You have some of the best, “plan-your-day-around-making-them” recipes. My friend and I schedule “food tv watching, make a new dessert days” and enjoy the process! I had fun recently in our local Whole Foods – my phone was out and I was on the Picky Palate blog site. I tell the store representative that that I MUST have Biscoff spread. I tell them it is caramel-cinnamon yumminess and I MUST have it to make a special cupcake. Several raised eyebrows later, they inform me that they don’t carry it in Texas. I plan to order some online and can’t wait to taste it!

Thank you for making me feel like I am on my very on foodie show while I follow your delightful desserts!

Amy, Yah, I think I would order the float rather than the soft serve next time 🙂

Thank you for your kind words about my blog, hope you continue to enjoy!! Have a great day!

My family goes to Disneyworld not Disneyland, but they have the juice bar there too, by Thunder Mountain. The thing is, they also have an orange Dole whip, which tastes like a creamsicle.

My favorite is the pineapple float, but my cousin gets a pineapple and orange swirly cone that’s also to die for.

We never really wait in line, but that’s probably because we wait until right before the park closes, and we get it on our way out.

    1. Jenny

Ok, I would be over the Orange Dole Whip. I LOVE that creamsicle flavor. Guess I need a trip to Orlando, lol!

Reminds me of when we were in Vermont and they had Maple Creamies (maple soft serve) all over the place, only I never did get around to ordering one! I must try pineapple soft serve- love the idea of that!

You guys are seriously Disneyland-addicted. I hope you never have to move!!

    1. Jenny

Yah, we’ve gotten used to having Disney so close. I would go through withdrawls if we had to move!! I am craving maple soft serve now, lol!

  12. vanillasugarblog

I LOVE when you do these.
I miss Disneyland. You are lucky to be able to go anyday.
Yes, more photos…this is a brilliant idea girl.

MMMM! I love the float the best, and love how they put an umbrella on it at the Disneyland location. There is rarely a long line in WDW’s Adventureland, but no umbrella! 🙁

    1. Jenny

Those stinkers at WDW for not adding the umbrella! My boys fought over that all afternoon, lol! Maybe that’s why they leave it out 🙂

  14. Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga

It all looks fabulous…and I have a serious craving for a Dole Whip Float. That, or a pina colada 🙂

Thanks for the great pics, as usual, Jenny!
