  170. Sissy Ricketts

The first thing I would cook would be steak that is first pan seared and finished in the oven.

Why? It is the last food I remember my Father making for us before my parents divorced and then my Mom passed away a very short time later. I made it for dinner for my son tonight & thought of how proud my Father would be that I know how to do it just like him

I’m now divorced myself after 21 years of marriage. My husband did the classic mid-life mistake and left me for someone else. Taking our assets with him. I am now studying Sports Medicine & Cadiovascular Nutrition in Tallahassee. I found a great man and we will be buying a home, so, we could use the oven. He works for the state of Florida so he isn’t a wealthy man. But, he is wealthy is all the ways that counts and has been instrumental in my healing.

He would LOVE it if his unemployed girlfriend/unofficial fiancee’ saved him some money.

I used to have more money than I knew what to do with, but, he was a cold man. Now I have the man with the heart, compassion, and integrity and feel so much happier.

I have always seen cooking as an act of love and even when I didn’t have enough food for myself & the only food i saw was on commercials, I made sure my children ate well when they came to visit.

Anyway, thanks for the contest. It was nice remembering my folks.

I wouldn’t make anything. I would have my wife make me a meal without complaining about how the oven doesn’t work right.

I would love an oven like that, What wouldn’t I bake in it! The first thing I would make is some yummy homemade wheat bread. I love how it makes my house smell!

I love the LG double oven. It is so nice looking. To welcome the set to my home, I would have to make a batch of chocolate chip cookies. YUM!

I would love to win a new stove to replace the one that came with my house. It must be at least 30 years old.

The first thing I would probably make is my mom’s lasagna and some kind of dessert.

The first thing that I would make with a new oven is cheese stuffed chicken, cheese potatoes, beer bread and on the stovetop- creamed spinach and have my friends over for dinner.

  274. I would love to try your Almond crusted chicken strips. And in my second oven I would make the Cheesecake Bread Pudding. I recent discovered those cookies and they are trouble. Usually don’t like store bought cookies but those are crazy good, was so excited to see you turn them into a bread pudding recipe! You’re so creative!
