The Best Nutella Brownies

Making homemade brownies has become a favorite dessert around our home. Stuffing Nutella inside my already pretty darn perfect brownies was a terrific idea, you will not be sorry you tried them! Enjoy this easy homemade brownie!

Ingredients For Nutella Brownies

  • all-purpose flour
  • kosher salt
  • unsweetened cocoa powder, I prefer Hershey’s Special Dark
  • salted butter
  • dark brown sugar
  • granulated sugar
  • canola oil
  • large eggs
  • pure vanilla extract
  • chocolate chips
  • Nutella

How To Make Nutella Brownie Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and line an 8 x 8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Place flour, cocoa powder and salt in a large mixing bowl, stir to combine. Place hot melted butter, oil, and sugars into a medium mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined, a good minute. Stir in eggs and vanilla, whisking another 2 minutes. Slowly stir wet ingredients into the dry ingredient bowl, gently stirring just until batter forms. Fold in chocolate chips and transfer half of the batter to baking dish. Spread evenly and top with cookie scoop fulls of Nutella evenly over top. Take an offset spatula and spread evenly. Top with remaining brownie batter, spreading evenly. Bake for 28-30 minutes, until baked through. Remove from oven and let cool for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares. Serve room temperature or warmed with a scoop of ice cream.

Once dry ingredients have been combined and wet ingredients as well, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients bowl, stirring until batter forms.

Stir in chocolate chips. I used milk chocolate chips, but any variety you prefer works great.

Transfer half of the brownie batter into the baking dish and top evenly with scoops of Nutella over top of batter.

Spread Nutella evenly over top. Using an offset spatula works great.

Top with remaining brownie batter and use offset spatula to spread evenly working from the center out.

Once the batter has been spread, bake at 375 degrees F. for 28-30 minutes, until baked through. Use a toothpick to check doneness in center.

Let brownies cool for an hour before cutting into squares.

How To Serve Homemade Brownies

Serve the brownies room temperature or warmed topped with vanilla ice cream.

How To Store Brownies

Store any leftover brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days room temperature or in the refrigerator.

      Hi Hannah, I think it would be just fine to double it and bake in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Watch bake time around 30 minutes.
