Oh boy, this is quite fun to see my cookbook that I’ve been working on for almost 2 years come to life this week! Today is the official release date which means you can purchase it in various stores and order it online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Books A Million.
For those of you who pre-ordered the book on Amazon, you have received it already. It has been so much fun seeing Instagram photos of you receiving the book in the mail, makes me smile
Thank you so much for sharing your pictures!
I’ll never forget the months while I was cooking and baking recipes like a mad woman preparing for the book back in 2010/early 2011. I was in a tiny Newport Beach kitchen and ingredients were flying everywhere, lol! It was fun, exhausting and exciting all at the same time. I remember thinking, I can’t believe I am going to have my own cookbook. Now, it’s really here! All of that sweat and hard work has paid off and I finally get to share those recipes I’ve kept secret for so long
Another highlight for me through this journey was watching Matt Armendariz and Adam Pearson photograph and style my cookbook. They are so unbelievably talented and made my recipes look just as incredible as they taste. I won’t ever forget being able to watch them in action.
I feel so grateful to work with an amazing agent and team at Wiley, they have made this experience so special.
I hope you will all enjoy my book, the recipes were made with lots of love and I assure you they are incredible!! There are over 100 new recipes you can’t find on Picky Palate
Enjoy!!
Here’s a sneek peek at my Skillet Baked Mac and Cheese recipe!

Congrats!! I would love to write one about desserts!
Huge congrats on your book Jenny! My husband & I love cooking together and always talk about how we would love to write a couples cookbook together!
My husband and I have lived in some pretty exotic places and brought back the most amazing recipes. Everyone that we prepare them for thinks we should either open a restaurant or write a cookbook…so I think that would be mine.

I would love to write a cookbook! I think mine would focus on vegetarian fare or quite possibly baby food!
I would for sure do a cook book of everything sweets. Any and all combos of different kinds of flours, sugars, oils, butter, baking chips, and more!
I love buying cookbooks but do not wish to write one!

If I were to write a cookbook it would be about breakfast food or dessert food! I best meals.

It looks beautiful! Congrats. I’ve definitely considered a cookbook at some point but can’t dedicate the time until all of the kids are off in school. That leaves me plenty of time to decide what food it’d be filled with
i am not sure I would write one,,,I like collecting family recipes though, so, perhaps I might.

I love to follow other creative minds and their recipes but I don’t think I could write my own cookbook.
Congrats on the baby and the book! Such an exciting time for you and your family. I have a homemade version of my cookbook…a 3 ring binder with dividers that have my handwritten recipes. If I was to publish one though, it would be all of my family’s favorites, some handed down from great grandmothers.

I’ve always dreamed of writing cookbook, but I don’t have a grand concept, so it’d probably just be a reformulation of my grandma’s best recipes–which has been done and done again. I’ll stick to reading ‘em;)
I’m not sure I would want to write a cookbook…I am much better at following recipes than creating my own!
I would love to write a cookbook for kid-friendly meals and snacks. Kids are so picky, yet it is important to help them make healthy choices. But on the other hand they are still kids, so a happy medium in neccessary!!!
I would love to write a cookbook of desserts!!! I’m not creative enough to think of my own recipes, though!
