Hi! Im going to make this for my daughters 2nd bday/thanksgiving! Question: in the frosting it says 2 sticks of butter… im in Canada and was wondering if a stick is 1 pound ( about 2 cups), i wouldnt doubt that there is that much butter in there but wanted to make sure!! Thanks alot!!!!!!!

I made this for my sister’s birthday recently. It’s only the 2nd homemade cake I’ve ever made. This cake changed my life. I LOVE chocolate, and I’ve never had a chocolate cake this good. I doubt I will ever find a cake as satisfying (or addicting) as this. Next time I’m going to make it without the peanut butter cookie dough and I’m sure it will be equally amazing.

My birthday is next week and I just know any cake I have will be disappointing after having this cake!

I wanted to add, I made this recipe with a whisk, because I don’t have a mixer. Don’t let not having a mixer deter you from making this cake.

OMG!!! This is death by peanut butter and chocolate!! I bake on a regular basis and have tried a great many cakes – this beats them all!! I melted PB cups into the frosting and chopped up PB cups into the middle layer for extra yumminesss. Wow wow wow!!! Thank you for sharing!!!! Xoxoxoxoxo

I am making this cake right now and the batter is delicious. It’s in the oven. For the frosting is that semi sweet Choco chips or milk chocolate again?
    Thanks.

I made this cake for my son’s birthday over the weekend and it was AMAZING! Everyone just loved it!

I did have some of the same issues as other people with the printed version listing incorrect instructions 🙂 Also, I found in my oven I needed to cook the cake for almost 40 minutes instead of just 30. Over all, great cake and I will be making it again FOR SURE! Thank you 🙂 🙂 🙂

    Hi Jenny,
I apologize if I’m missing this…for the frosting, are you using the milk chocolate chips or semi-sweet? It wasn’t specific…
    Thank you:)

  14. Debbie

Hi Jenny! Love your recipes – I have a question, though. My peanut butter layer turned out more like cake batter than cookie dough. Suggestions? Ideas? Thanks for your help – I am taking it to a party tomorrow!

  15. Vera

I’m confused!! The captions for the filling state to start with some flour. However, I am not seeing the flour in the filling ingredient list, nor the filling directions. Am I missing it?

Getting ready to go to the store for the ingredients!! Making this for my husband’s 50th birthday today!!! Can’t wait to try it…oh and taste test the cookie dough and lick the frosting batter!! LOL

    Thanks Jenny!!
