Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Truffle Brookies

So excited to partner with Crisco and Pillsbury Baking to bring you another new recipe with two products I am so excited about!  This dessert could not be more simple to prepare.  Chocolate and peanut butter is one of our favorite flavor combinations for a sweet treat.  These bars are about to knock your socks off!  Your family will be making this speedy dessert for years and years to come!

Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Truffle Brookies

You’ll need the Pillsbury Purely Simple Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix and the Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix.

To make the cookie dough add softened butter and the cookie mix to a large bowl.

Add your egg and give a good mix.

Just like that, you’ve got the cookie dough layer ready.

To prepare the brownies add the mix to a large mixing bowl.

Add a large egg.

Add Crisco® Pure Canola Oil and water to the bowl.  Give a good mix and set aside for a few minutes.

To prepare the peanut butter truffle layer, mix creamy peanut butter and powdered sugar until well combined.

Scoop peanut butter truffle mixture over pressed cookie dough layer.

Place peanut butter truffle balls evenly over cookie dough.

Scoop the brownie mixture in between peanut butter truffles.  Bake for 45-50 minutes, until set.  Remove and let cool completely.

Cut into squares and serve room temperature or chilled.  Enjoy!

Prep time: 10 min | Cook time: 50 min | Total time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 17.5 ounce Pillsbury Purely Simple Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 15.5 ounce Pillsbury Purely Simple Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix

Peanut Butter Truffle Layer

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare cookie mix according to package directions. Press dough into prepared baking dish. Place creamy peanut butter and powdered sugar into a medium bowl, mixing until well combined. With a small cookie scoop, place dough evenly over cookie dough layer. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and scoop or spoon in between peanut butter truffle scoops.
  3. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until bars are set. Remove and let cool completely. Cut into squares and serve room temperature or chilled.

    Your written directions are confusing on this recipe. The concept seems simple, but the pictures aren’t complete and the directions leave a lot out.

    Looks yummmm… but there’s only one worry, about the proportions! Whenever i try out new cakes, either there’s a problem with the consistency or with the proportions. As you have given the exact proportions here, lemme try this out 🙂 Hope it works 😀
