Going home to visit in Southern California is my favoraote vacatio. Since I live in AZ the drive is quick, there is always lots to do when we get there, the weather is beautiful, and we get to spend time with family!

We spent a weekend this summer with my parents at a cabin on the lake in Wisconsin. It was so great to see my son interact with them in a new environment. Thanks for the giveaway/contest!

My favorite vacations as a kid were our summer visits to Dallas to visit family. My grandparents and aunt would always plan lots of special activities that we didn’t get to do in NM.

We tried to have many vacations, when I was a kid, but with a family size of 12, it was difficult. Cars broke down, plans were cancelled…you get the idea.
However, now that we are all grown up, we had an “original 12” reunion, meaning no spouses or grandkids were invited, and we had a blast on our vacation together. That was the best!

My favorite family vacation was my honeymoon – my husband and I were brand-new family, and since we definitely want kids we knew we’d never have this peaceful a vacation again! Hawaii was the perfect spot. 🙂
