Easy Spaghetti Recipe
We all have a favorite spaghetti recipe, but let me introduce you to my Creamy Crockpot Spaghetti! Making crock pot recipes is such a great way to make dinner time easy. We’re all looking for that! No boiling the noodles, just throw it all into the crock pot and dinner is done a few hours later. I added a little secret ingredient to my spaghetti….some cream cheese that makes for a creamy dreamy sauce. Be sure to try it 🙂

Here’s your line up. I actually used 3 jars of sauce so add one more to this picture….and a couple cups of chicken broth 🙂
How To Make The Best Spaghetti
For starters, brown up 1 pound of ground beef in a skillet.
I keep it simple, a little salt, pepper and garlic salt/or powder.
Now we are ready for the crock pot.
Start by pouring one jar of pasta sauce into the bottom of your crock pot.
Time for the noodles 🙂
Break them in half so they fit nicely into the crock pot.
Pour your ground beef over the noodles.
Sprinkle with some Parmesan Cheese.
Add some cubed cream cheese….my favorite part!
One more jar of pasta sauce over top.
Nice and even 🙂
Close the lid and you are good to go!

I made this for supper last night and it was amazing. My husband hardly ever wants me to keep food for leftovers, but he said he would eat this until it was all gone! I halved the recipe because it is just the two of us and a seven month old. I used ground pork because that is all I had. I added a little extra parmesan cheese and used the same amount of cream cheese as the full recipe. I added a a few pats of butter on top of the noodles to keep them from sticking together. I also added 8 oz mushrooms on top of the last layer. Cooked on low for one hour, stirred, and let it cooked another hour and a half. It was perfect. Thanks for the best spaghetti recipe ever!
I’d love to try this recipe but was wondering if you thought it would freeze OK?
Hey–Have you or anyone else tried this with GF pasta? Thanks!

Chicken broth is an ingredient listef buy it’s not used in the recipe. Is this correct?
It is used. You add it after the 3 hours of cooking with the last jar of sauce, and cook an hour more.
Does the Meat have to be cooked before hand?
Really want to try this! Could I put it on low instead of high and cook longer?
I know it says three jars, but can it be done with two instead (like in the photos)? One on the bottom and one over the top? 3 jars is a lot!
made this and it tasted awful. the noodles turned to mush. followed directions carefully. will not be making again.
Question on this recipe – on the 3 jars 26 ounce pasta sauce – does this mean 3 jars that add up to 26oz or 3 – 26oz jars of pasta sauce? Thanks for the help!
Loved the idea and tried it out. Sadly, mine didn’t work. It all got gummy and stuck together, not very appetizing, so I had to throw the whole batch out.
mine was the same way! awful!!!
Yum!! Tried this tonight for dinner, and it turned out amazing!! I only used 2 jars of sauce though, bc I personally like it really thick! I also added some squirts of southwest chipotle ranch to it, as well shredded cheese to make it cheesy!! SOOO YUMMY!! Thanks for sharing!
So glad you enjoyed the recipe Debbie! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Looks delicious, I also didn’t know you could make spaghetti in the crock pot either…. i am making it tonight will post how it came out!
Thanks, jenny!!
This was so yummy!
What is the fat and calorie content of this recipe?
This showed up on either Facebook or Pinterest, so I saved it and am trying it tonight. 🙂 I did make one change, since ground beef is crazy expensive: I’m using two 10 oz packages of frozen chopped spinach. I’ll try to remember to come back and let you know how it works out.
I tried this recipe and the spaghetti noodles clumped together and was mushy. I used whole wheat spaghetti. I might try it in the oven and cook the pasta before I make it the next time. Had to throw it out, couldn’t salvage anything and believe me I never throw anything out so it was really bad.
I had the exact same issue. What a waste, but I couldn’t force it down.
I don’t want to post negative things on anyone’s page, ever. I believe in if you don’t have something nice to say then don’t say it. But I aslo just wanted to add in my experience. As I cooked this last night…identical to directions. Even though I had the time to make the spaghetti the traditional way as opposed to waiting three hours I wanted to try this recipe exactly the way you described. I didn’t have a good response from my household. And I found it to be a waste of sauce. Normally one bottle of sauce per pound of meat is enough. I understand the slow cooker eats up alot of sauce so i wonder if maybe there is a more sufficient way to cook the noodles without wasting so nuch sauce ? My noodles were mushy and overall was a dry sauce. So the fact even three bottles weren’t enough and the extra broth was a surprise. I LOVE cream cheese so this is the main reason I took this on..but I personally found the combination to be a bit sour. Needless to say, it was an epic fail for me. I am trying to expand my crock pot recipes so I am still following you and would love to take on another challenege. Thanks for being so brave to leave a place for feedback …negative or positive. Its all just personal preference. And thanks for sharing the recipe
This recipe is so good, my kids and husband ask for it over and over. And it smells so good while it’s cooking. We love it!!!
Can you freeze this when it is cooked? I’m cooking for one 🙂
I was looking for a Spaghetti recipe for crock pot and found yours. Thanks goodness I did! It is sooo easy, your instructions are simple and straight to the point. I made this for dinner, only had 3 1/2 hrs to do so, and it is GREAT! Thanks SOOO Much! I did add fresh sliced baby bella mushrooms, bell peppers and chopped onion- but I ALWAYS do this, as my family likes their fresh flavor. I will DEFINITELY be making this recipe again!!!! FANTASTIC!! Thanks again! Will be pinning your recipes as often as I can and will definitely be wanting to make more of them myself!
How do I post this on facwbook. I want to share this
I am making this tonight and SO excited! I think it looks delicious!!!
You might want to specify in the ingredients list that it must be regular noodles.. I used whole wheat prior to reading all the comments!Im in college so im cooking on a budget and I was really disappointed to have to throw it away!
Just made this today, it was great and so easy! We are vegetarian so we used Quorn meatless crumbles instead of ground beef. I just added that into the crock pot frozen along with a bag of frozen chopped spinach and it worked great! Just didn’t add any broth because I figured the extra liquid from frozen items would make up for it. Super yummy – 1 year old loved it too!! Will definitely be making this again. Thanks so much!
Do you cook on low or high?
I made this tonight and my noodles are all mushy! I think 3 hours is too long in my crock pot. It taste good other than mushy noodles..
Hi,
Do you think I could use 2 jars of sauce and 1 jar full of water?
Also, has anyone tried cooking the meat raw with all the ingredients in the crock pot at the same time?
I went wrong somewhere some how. I followed the instructions because it was my first time making it, but the pasta came out very…. gooey? like a paste more than pasta? I don’t know why. Now the flavor itself was AMAZING!!!!! The pasta just came out all wrong. I still ate it and so did my girlfriend. She said there was nothing wrong with the flavor, just the pasta didn’t look like pasta.
So the second time I made it, I didn’t use the crockpot, instead i made everything on the stove top and it came out perfect.
Thanks for this recipe, it got bookmarked as a favorite in my pocket app.
I made this tonight and it was very good. It took almost no effort Delicious and was so easy. I swapped out the beef for ground turkey (a 20 ounce pkg of 93 percent lean), used whole wheat spaghetti,(a 13.5 ounce box, I didn’t realize it wasn’t a pound but it didn’t matter) reduced fat cream cheese and only two jars of marinara sauce and I added one 14.5 ounce can of petite diced tomatoes and 1 1/2 cups water all in the beginning. I also added two grated carrots and a chopped onion and fresh garlic and a few shakes of red pepper flakes to the turkey while I cooked it for extra flavor. I let it cook for about 2 hours in my slow cooker/ nesco roaster. It was so easy….it came in at 12 weight watchers points for 8 servings or 10 points for 10 servings. Next time I will add mushroom to the turkey as it cooks. A keeper for me.
So glad to hear it! Thanks for sharing 🙂
I was very skeptical when i was putting it in the crock pot. I had no clue you could cook spaghetti in the crock pot. I’ve tried the crock pot lasagna version and I didn’t like it, too soupy. I was afraid that was going to happen with this. The verdict: AMAZING! This is now my favorite recipes. When I make spaghetti, it’s pretty bland, this is delish!
I just made this tonight and my husband and I loved it! I put in a whole block of cream cheese, added fresh minced garlic and it was so worth it. The thick and creamy texture made for decadent leftovers! THANKS FOR AN AWESOME RECIPE!
So glad you enjoyed the recipe! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Hi really looking forward to trying this. Would be great if the recipe included ingredients for making your own sauce as we are really trying to stay away from jarred stuff 🙂
My kids Loved this! What I liked about it was it was easy for the kids (my 2 y/o and 4 y/o) to eat without getting sloppy like the typical pasta and sauce spaghetti. The sauce wasn’t runny and stuck to the pasta really well making this easy to fed the little ones. Most important, my extremely picky 4 y/o had two servings! Would be great for a potluck and also busy parents who want to start this in the morning and have the non-cooking parent serve this to kids when they get home from school 😉 I followed recipe to T and came out perfect. I think the cream cheese part was a nice touch. Definitely a recipe worth keeping.
Do you think whole wheat or whole grain spaghetti would work? Also, any way to half this recipe?
