If I had time right now I would make cinnammon rolls like my mom used to make before she lost her ablity to cook/bake. Homemade with yummy sticky sauce over them. She would let the dough rise until they were almost too big to put in the oven and then when they were done she would leave them to cool in the middle of the kitchen on top of our woodstove (not on of course). The whole house smelt so good. Her cooking was the one thing that brought us, and the neighborhood kids and my relatives, together in all seasons. I miss that she can’t cook/bake like that anymore. Her food was the best.
I made semi-homemade ones once and my 4 year old said, “mmmm!” I wonder what he would think if I made real ones like my mom did??
