a chocolate mayonnaise cake; the from scratch cake that replaces eggs and oil with about a cup of mayo, its fast, fun and easy for the kids!

If I had time right now to bake a dessert, I would bake chocolate chip cookies. (Boring, I know.) They are truly a staple in my house, and I never get tired of eating them!

If I had time right now I would make cinnammon rolls like my mom used to make before she lost her ablity to cook/bake. Homemade with yummy sticky sauce over them. She would let the dough rise until they were almost too big to put in the oven and then when they were done she would leave them to cool in the middle of the kitchen on top of our woodstove (not on of course). The whole house smelt so good. Her cooking was the one thing that brought us, and the neighborhood kids and my relatives, together in all seasons. I miss that she can’t cook/bake like that anymore. Her food was the best.
I made semi-homemade ones once and my 4 year old said, “mmmm!” I wonder what he would think if I made real ones like my mom did??

I’ve been jonesing for blueberry muffins. Not really a dessert, I guess, but that’s what I’d make 😉

I love those, and they can be a dessert! You can always top them w/some vanilla or blueberry ice cream!
