Easy Banana Bread Recipe
The whole family is going to love this easy banana bread recipe. It’s colorful, sweet and so easy to whip up when you’ve got some bananas ready for banana bread.

What You’ll Need
- salted butter softened– For my baking and cooking recipes, I generally use salted butter, but unsalted is fine too.
- granulated sugar– This fine sugar adds to the sweetness of the bread.
- brown sugar packed, light or brown is fine- You’ll have the option of light or dark brown sugar when shopping for brown sugar. Either works for the recipe, but I use light.
- ripe bananas mashed– When your bananas are black spotted, they are perfect for using for banana bread.
- large eggs– I use large eggs for all of my cooking and baking for consistency.
- pure vanilla extract– For best tasting results use pure vanilla.
- all-purpose flour– All-purpose flour is the main dry ingredient for the banana bread.
- baking soda– The baking soda helps the banana bread rise.
- kosher salt- Kosher salt is a course salt. I prefer using it for all of my cooking and baking.
- mini M & M’s– Find the mini M&M’s in the baking section of the grocery store or the candy isle.
How To Make Easy Banana Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. and spray 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch bread pan lightly with cooking spray.
- Cream butter and sugars until well combined. Stir in bananas, eggs and vanilla mixing to combine. Add in flour, baking soda, salt, and M & M’s. Stir until combined and transfer to bread pan.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until baked through. Let cool completely then cut into slices.
Gently stir banana bread ingredients together until batter is formed.
Transfer banana bread batter to prepared loaf pan and top with additional mini M & M’s.
Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until baked through and toothpick comes clean when poked in center. Let cool completely before cutting into slices.

- 4 med-large ripe bananas mashed

- 1 cup mini M&M’s
