Good Saturday everyone!
I have thoroughly been enjoying the new line of Mezzetta Napa Valley Bistro Pasta Sauces. I’m telling you they are the closest thing to a homemade tasting sauce that I’ve tried. I used this sauce to make my latest soup and just made an awesome recipe with it last night that I’ll be sharing soon.
The folks at Mezzetta are offering 2 lucky Picky Palate readers 2 jars each of their new line of sauces. They retail for $5.99 each.
“We want Napa Valley Bistro products to bring the experience of dining in a Napa Valley restaurant right to your own table,” explains Jeff Mezzetta.
The Marinara Collection — four pasta sauces based on Italian imported plum tomatoes — were created to satisfy consumer demand for elegantly simple sauces which let the flavor of the tomatoes shine through. The Marinara Collection is an elegant complement to the original “Classic Combinations,” that features robust flavors in traditional combinations made with California plum tomatoes. Both lines are made with Napa Valley wine. Serving suggestions on each jar suggest different ways to use each sauce beyond pouring on pasta.
Here’s how to enter: Leave a comment and tell us about one of your favorite recipes that includes pasta sauce. You don’t have to write the recipe here, just tell us about it, I’d love to hear it! Tough choice for me, but I’m going with a classic cheesy lasagna with a nice red sauce. That’s hard to beat!
Contest ends Sunday night, Midnight PST. I’ll pick the 2 winners randomly and post them first thing Monday morning!

Good Luck everyone, see you all Monday Morning with the winners!
Lasagna is a popular choice- that was the first thing I thought of. But then I thought of my stuffed shells recipe with a red sauce and oooh it is so good!
Stuffed Shells. YUM!!!
My kids love this creamy pasta bake I make with chicken, ziti, sauce and lots of cheese. OK I love it too!
We just made homemade beefaroni the other day with pasta sauce and all sorts of sauteed veggies and ground beef. My kids gobbled it up!
My favorite is easy Ckicken Cacciatore with chicken, green bell peppers, noodles, itailan dressing mix and spaghetti sauce! So easy and so delicious!
I’m making our favorite today. Spaghetti marinara and meatballs (all made from scratch). I would love to try these sauces and forget the homemade stuff.
I really want to try these sauces! I love using bottled sauces in my homemade lasagna!
My latest fave is turkey meatballs in tomato sauce over spaghetti squash.
A nice homemade calzone dipped in marinara is my favorite
Lasagna is the most popular in house house…and anytime I have to bring food to a lunch meeting at work 🙂
Whole Wheat lasagna noodles layed with sausage & hamburgar, cottage cheese, and a lot of cheese and pasta sauce baked at 350 for 40 minutes. Served with a side of home made garlic bread and asparagus spears.
I like either vegetarian lasagna or a killer chili recipe I make with spaghetti sauce 😉
I would have to go with parmesan chicken…Yum!
Even though I like your idea of lasagna, my daughter is in looooove with baked ziti – so ziti it will be.
Nothing better than the classic spaghetti with some awesome sauce!!
Even though Creamy Chicken Lasagna is at the top of my list, I have to go with good old Spaghetti. It has always been and will always been my very favorite food!
I’d have to say cheese stuffed manicotti with some yummy marinara sauce on top!
Just last night, we had a big family get-together at the end of a very busy week. I didn’t want to stress over dinner, so we had meatball subs. Everyone raved about how good they were, and they took about 5 minutes of work!
I always use spaghetti sauce as the tomato sauce on homemade pizza. If I don’t have time to whip up homemade pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce is the way to go — it’s more tomato-y, herb-y than store-bought pizza sauce.
Eggplant Parmesan. Yummm!
We love baked Ziti or Chicken Parmesan!
I love eggplant parmesan OR yummy roasted veggies over spaghetti squash…that tomato sauce just pulls it all together!
I have to agree. I just love a good lasagna!
manicotti
Stuffed shells.
That is a hard question but I’ll go with my Basil Pesto Gnocchi with Shrimp! Those sauces look great by the way.
I must go with good ol’ spaghetti with red sauce topped with sausage…. can’t beat the classics!
Big – not small – cheese ravioli with red sauce.
I love spaghetti. I like to add lots of veggies to the sauce and use whole wheat pasta. Fast, easy, and the kids love it!
I love a good lasagna too. or manicotti!
I love making stuffed shells. Yummy!
I use sauce in lots of different dishes, but the “favorite” is probably just a good ol’ plate of spaghetti, and it’s imperative to have a good sauce for such a simple dish.
Wicked cheesy baked ziti! That’s the bomb.
My favorite recipes that has pasta cause is baked ziti! It’s so yummy and so easy to make!!
I have a ridiculously simple “lasagna” recipe that uses beef and cheese raviolis layered with all the sauce and cheese. These would really “up” the wow factor on this simple recipe! Great giveaway – thanks for offering!
