I’ve only got one day of school under my belt so I don’t know what snack I like to make for my daughter after school. Usually if she wants a snack, it’s a piece of Dove Chocolate promises. Yeah, just one piece. It’s times like that when I wonder if she is mine. I’ve never been able to eat 1 piece of chocolate…ever. Let alone be satisfied with a single piece of candy for a snack.

My daughter is only two years old, so I haven’t really thought about after-school snacks yet, and won’t have to for a couple of years still.
My favorite thing to make is chocolate chip cookies….always has been and probably always will be. They were sent to my husband when he was in the military, for bake sales, and after school treats. Nothing better.

I give the kids cookies after school. I try to keep their lunch healthier and more protein packed so I think it is ok to give them sugar when they come home.
