Hey everyone, check out this great new cookbook up for grabs to 3 lucky Picky Palate readers by Sara Lee. I have spent the last few days flipping through the book and it is incredible! It’s a beautiful hardcover cookbook, full of great photography and health conscious recipes. Here’s some info on the book:
Sara Lee is partnering with The Heart Truth Campaign to raise awareness of heart disease among women and encourage them to make heart healthy food choices every day to take care of their bodies and their families. One of the best things a mom can do for her family is take care of herself. One of the easiest ways to take care of herself is to establish a heart healthy eating routine.

I love steamed asparagus with a little bit of spray butter! simple but my favorite!
I love healthy recipes, I want to check this cookbook out. I love eating apples for a healthy snack. I have to have one every day! Veggies and hummus are also good!
I love to slice some mini bell peppers in half, lengthwise and use them to scoop up some homemade hummus. Yum!

Salsa! I don’t know if the chips count as healthy, but salsa is. I guess I could eat baked chips with salsa.
Love baby carrots, such a yummy and easy snack.
Apples or celery with peanut or almond butter. YUM!!! Although I am going to try some craisins with almonds thanks to a comment.
A piece of toast with a light layer of peanut butter topped with thin slices of apple. Yummy!
I think I would say fresh strawberries and Celery/carrot with Lite ranch, just love Ranch.

My favorite snack is Danon’s All Natural Vanilla yogurt mixed with fresh blueberries!
So my favorite healthy snack I would have to say is freshly popped popcorn from a popcorn popper. I love the crunchiness of it all. So good!

Awesome! I love to make a veggie tray with cauliflower, red peppers, baby carrots, cucumber, and grape tomatoes. I make hidden valley ranch dip. It’s so yummy! I’m salivating already 🙂
My favorite snack is fruit cut up and tossed with vanilla yogurt. It seems rich, and it tricks my mind into thinking I just ate dessert!
Avocados and grapefruit. I love tossing them together with some lemon vinaigrette. It is so good. I better go make me some right now.

My favorite healthy snack is light popcorn. I like it because I can eat pretty much the whole bag with few calories!

V8 with light string cheese or a hard-boiled egg for something quick. I also like to make different faux milkshakes (non-fat milk, ice cubes, some SF pudding mix, coffee, etc.)
I love carrot sticks with hummus. Or whole wheat crackers with hummus.
I absolutely love to sit down to a nice bowl of fat free cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes with salt and pepper…. Best snack ever!
I am currently into crasins! I love to put them in the freezer and then grab a handful whenever I am feeling a little rummbly in my tummy!
