If Disney / California Adventure has a restaurant that you could classify as “amusement park food”, Taste Pilots Grill is it. We prefer to be positive in our reviews but we would not be serving the readers of this post properly if we gave you a rosy outlook on our experience at Taste Pilots Grill. Quick service – Yes. Clean restaurant – Yes. Better than amusement park food – No. There’s really not much more to say.
These chili engulfed fries were decent.
We love a good onion ring, unfortunately, these onion rings had more breading than onion. At least, there was a real onion inside.
If you decide to try Taste Pilots Grill, we recommend the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The chicken was moist and the southwest dressing did the trick. Don’t forget to stop by the condiment station.
If you’re a blue cheese fan, this may be the burger for you. I (Cullen) am not a fan of blue cheese, but this burger exceeded my expectations.
The Chili burger did not have much flavor. It actually wasn’t messy enough to be a good chili burger.
The best part of their classic cheeseburger is the multigrain bun. It seems that Disney has made a great bun recipe as every burger I’ve tried has a quality bun wrapping the protein.
The chicken breasts are over breaded but did NOT lack in flavor.
This dressing based coleslaw is great until you get to the bottom where the dish is drowning in dressing.
If you’re in need of a quick power snack for the kids–this is your choice. All for $5.99.
We were at the Taste Pilots’ Grill at 12:30 on a warm 90 degree summer Friday. It wasn’t too crowded, however all of the seating inside was taken due to the warm weather.
The restaurant was clean and even though it was warm outside, the clouds and umbrellas provided us with needed shade.
WHAT WORKED: Chicken sandwich, Multigrain buns, “Amusement park food”–if that’s your thing, Annual pass discount.
WHAT DIDN’T WORK: Hamburger meat patties, Amusement park food, Chili burger was too clean, Hurry and eat the fries before they go soggy.
We give Taste Pilots’ Grill 2.5 STARS, as this is an average to below average restaurant at Disney and California Adventure.

The Grilled Chicken Sandwich with the southwest sauce sounds good! However soggy fries are a no go 🙂
