Oh boy, this is quite fun to see my cookbook that I’ve been working on for almost 2 years come to life this week! Today is the official release date which means you can purchase it in various stores and order it online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Books A Million.
For those of you who pre-ordered the book on Amazon, you have received it already. It has been so much fun seeing Instagram photos of you receiving the book in the mail, makes me smile 🙂 Thank you so much for sharing your pictures!
I’ll never forget the months while I was cooking and baking recipes like a mad woman preparing for the book back in 2010/early 2011. I was in a tiny Newport Beach kitchen and ingredients were flying everywhere, lol! It was fun, exhausting and exciting all at the same time. I remember thinking, I can’t believe I am going to have my own cookbook. Now, it’s really here! All of that sweat and hard work has paid off and I finally get to share those recipes I’ve kept secret for so long 🙂
Another highlight for me through this journey was watching Matt Armendariz and Adam Pearson photograph and style my cookbook. They are so unbelievably talented and made my recipes look just as incredible as they taste. I won’t ever forget being able to watch them in action.
I feel so grateful to work with an amazing agent and team at Wiley, they have made this experience so special.
I hope you will all enjoy my book, the recipes were made with lots of love and I assure you they are incredible!! There are over 100 new recipes you can’t find on Picky Palate 🙂 Enjoy!!

I love to try other people’s recipes. I don’t think I’d have enough original ideas to write my own cookbook.

Hmmm tough choice…probably desserts!!
Congrats!!! I’d love to write a cookbook that includes my family’s favorites – some healthy, some indulgent, but mostly just a cookbook about tradition and what it means to gather and to share.
Mine would be a baking cookbook. Congrats!

I have been collecting recipes since the early 60’s when I was married. My mom was a home economics professor who passed away last year. She was an awesome cook, had a great collection of cookbooks, and taught me everything I know.
I would compile so many of our wonderful family recipes, with a few new ones thrown in for good measure. Sorry that I got so verbose.
I would love to write a cookbook. I would make it a complete package and do everything from appetizers and drinks to main dishes and desserts plus everything in between! Congrats on your new book!
I love cooking, but I don’t think I’d enjoy writing a cookbook. I am too scared to experiment so I enjoy having someone else’s tried-and-true recipe in front of me rather than coming up with one on my own 🙂
I personally would LOVE to write a cookbook! I have so many great recipes from my grandmother, mother, and ones that I have tweaked and combined from good ‘ol family recipes. Mine would be pretty much all things with the oven. Baking baking baking!!!
I already 5-star-reviewed the cookbook on Amazon! I would write a cookbook about make-ahead breakfasts and dinners–esp focused on breakfasts that are filling for mornings when kids are going off to school and crockpot ideas for when parents/kids are walking in door in the evening (tired and hungry!) from work/after-school activities. Shopping lists included for meals! 🙂

I would never have the guts to write a cookbook as there are too many better cooks than me. I just cook the good ones!!
I’m a Picky Palate subscriber too on Google!
I’m a fan of yours on Facebook!
I’d write cookbook with cookie and quickbread recipes
I would love to win the book because I’ve tried some of your recipes from the blog and loved them!
I would write my family recipes. One half mama and one half dad’s family recipes. Some are so old, I can’t even place the originator. (Grandpa was taugh by his grandpa, and taught my dad. My dad taught me because he had no son, under the strictest orders that I only teach my son, who will be ordered to teach only his son, and so on and so on…) There are many recipes like that. My memory is starting to go nowadays, so if nothing else, I really NEED a vanity printing. This is a very good idea! I’ll have to start writing my recipes later today…
I would love to do a cookbook of recipes from family/friends to give to my sons.
I would love to do a cookie cookbook!
I would like to write a cookbook of pumpkin recipes!

And by the way, congratulations on the cookbook. It looks incredible! Can’t wait for my own copy 🙂
Your success is inspirational and your recipes are divine!
I’d Love to write a cookbook on desserts! And I want one of yours! 🙂
My cookbook would be filled with desserts! I am not a very good cook, but I’m an excellent baker!
I also “liked” you on facebook months ago…you actually haunt my inbox and I love it!! Thanks for the chance to win a cookbook!
I have been a follower on Pinterest for awhile!
Hope I can win!!
congratulations! what an accomplishment. I would love to write a cookbook-it’s sort of a fantasy of mine. It would comprise of each season and how to entertain during those seasons with amazing food!
I have made 3 cookbooks for my resort. We own a family vacation resort in northern MN and my cookbooks are recipes from guests who come to our potlucks every week all summer long! Hope I can win your book…it looks scrumptious!
Thanks for the opportunity!
I would love to write a cookbook but I’m afraid I would need some help with it. A family cookbook with all our oldtimey receipes would be amazing!
